This week's Battle Challenge is dedicated to the Dragon Splinter. In my Battle Challenge, I chose a combination of the Rare Dragon Summoner Brighton Bloom and the Epic Dragon card Djinn Chwala. Brighton Bloom has the ability to give Flying to all monsters on the own team. Djinn Chwala has the Thorns ability. From level 4 he gets Enrage and from level 6 True Strike:

Brighton Bloom also has the typical ability to make Dragons usable and thus to combine 2 Splinters (Dragons + other Splinter). The Flying ability is not only usable one-sided. Of course it is especially strong in the Earthquake rule set. On the other hand, Flying also allows a higher miss rate for the enemy monsters. The miss rate is increased by 25% for non-flying monsters, which equals 2.5-speed difference.

And here is my entry for this week:

Here you can analyse the battle yourself :)

The fight you could see took place in said earthquake rule set. Brighton Bloom is absolutely meta in this rule set. If you have it, you should definitely use it in the Earthquake rule set. This is because you can use very strong cards that don't necessarily have to have high life or shield. If your opponent doesn't have Brighton Bloom and has to defend against Earthquake in a different way, you almost always get the advantage. If the opponent does not take the rule set into account, he almost automatically loses.

Both Unicorn Mustang and Mushroom Seer have been used to strongly ward off magic attacks, such as against Obsidian.

Djinn Chwala had the purpose of being a Second Tank and would serve as a Meat Shield in case Unicorn Mustang died.

Mycelic Slipspawn was used to hold off sneak dmg from Sand Worm and Mushroom Seer through his Taunt ability.

Centauri Mage was used as a counter to Range attacks through her Return Fire ability.

Sand Worm was the main dmg dealer. In particular, he benefited from Brighton Bloom. For despite his relatively low life compared to a high attack, he was able to attack constantly.

My strategy worked very well. The opponent was dominated by Brighton Bloom in the earthquake rule set. There was no chance for a victory. Brighton Bloom is a niche card, but extremely strong in that rule set. One should also not neglect the increased enemy miss rate because of Flying.
I like him very much, because in certain rounds he almost automatically gives you a win.
