Bear seasons are both bad and good, I'd say. The good aspect of it is that it allows investors to accumulate assets at a discounted rate.
On the other hand, it is bad in that, investors' portfolios will definitely turn red.

My portfolio is red for the year but a lot higher if I go all the way back since day one. The time where assets appreciate in price will come. !LOL !PIZZA
