RE: Crypto as a reference in your CV?

This is a great subject to discuss! Seriously!

I have often mascarated my crypto background into my existing finance background. If I'm applying for a blockchain company then I have a separate resume spefically for those type of companies.

I believe that we should not hide our interest in crypto, but then again for most employers at this point this information is useless, just like when people bring up their hobbies...

At my last job I was at a bank, obviously I never mentioned crypto during the interview process else I'm pretty certain I wouldn't have gotten hired. Instead, I waited to see the bank PR team make public reference to crypto and when I had my performance review I mentioned the PR release and brought up my interest and experience in the subject, offered assistance if ever needed.

Either way, if you are truly passionate about blockchain, I'd recommend taking steps to solidify your professional credibility as a subject expert. I'm afraid here soon univeristies will come up with 4 year degrees for this stuff, get that verifiable experience at the very least so that you can continue to compete in the market even if crypto is no longer in the public concious.

Of course it depends on the job. But if it is tech related or the company has ambitions to 'go full digital' with their vision, this might just be the right elevator pitch.
