Battle Mage Weekly Challenge: Target Practice

Introduction

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my Battle Mage Weekly Challenge post featuring the Target Practice ruleset!

Battle Ruleset

This Ruleset gives every Magic and Ranged attacking monster Snipe ability, making them target opposing Magic, Ranged or Non-attacking unit that is not in the first position.

Featured battle allowed Fire, Water, Earth and Life elements to be played with a total mana cap of 53. The ruleset combination was complete with Keep Your Distance ruleset.

My Team

Grandmaster Rathe was the only Summoner in my arsenal that made sense in this ruleset combination, providing my whole team with +1 Armor, Void Armor and Amplify

Evelyn Auvera is my frontliner in this battle, even thought Thorns were useless, she brings 8 health and 8 armor, for a total of 13 effective health for only 5 mana,

Djinn Renova brings 3 points of Magic damage and ever useful Triage ability needed to keep my Iziar alive. She will also benefit from Martyr when my Taunter goes down, bringing her offensive Magic capabilities to the next level!

Iziar is my favourite Life monster, brining Taunt, Void and Martyr with 14 health points. Djinn Renova buffs up Iziars Life to 15 with Strengthen healing her for 5 points of health every turn with Triage. That is a hard Tank to kill.

Pelacor Arbalest comes rocking with Double Strike and Ranged damage. Every time Iziar dies, Pelacor Arbalest takes double the advantage due to the Double Strike. He also diversifies my damage in this battle.

Adelade Brightwing is an amazing supporting monster with Armor Repair and Resurrect abilities. 2 points of magic damage is decent as well.

Supply Runner is my favourite neutral card. Swiftness makes my whole team a bit faster and 3 points of Ranged damage is pretty good for only 6 mana.

Battle Strategy

My battle strategy was to include my Life splinter core team of Iziar, Djinn Renova and Adelade Brightwing. This trio has everything. Triage, Taunt, Armor Repair and Resurrection is hard to beat. If we include double Martyr buff - the team is even more deadlier the longer the battle lasts. Pelacor Arbalest is amazing unit for receiving +1 to all Stats due to the Double Strike. I also bring a balanced mix of Magic and Ranged damage just to be safe against omnipresent Immortalis summoner.

Conclusion

Turns out that my Battle strategy was quite effective. The only monster my opponent managed to defeat was Iziar which was Resurrected right away. Pelacor Arbalest had the honour of dishing the most damage due to the Martyr buffs and Double Strike.
