Splinterlands Social Media Challenge: My Journey

Introduction

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my Splinterlands Social Medial Challenge post about my Splinterlands journey!

As you can see from the picture above, my journey started in October of 2021. I've joined during the Bull Hype and am still around! I've been whith this amazing project for more than 2 years now.

Finding about the game

During the Bull market hype cycle in 2021, NFT P2E projects were quite popular. The most popular one was Axie Infinity by far. I didn't like the combat in that game so I researched a bit further and found out Splinterlands from a random youtube video listing Top 10 P2E games. At first I didn't like how the game looked,but in the end I decided to try it out because the combat seemed good enough. Back then the meta was Malric + Djinn Oshannus + Venari Crystalsmith, ahh the good old times.

Collection Point Struggle

At first you needed 15k CP for Silver III, so when Chaos Legion was announced I was prepared to buy 100 packs for me to reach the needed CP. I'm glad I didn't do it and instead bought single cards as that turned out to be the better option.

First bought cards

Pelacor Bandit was the first card I bought. It was before CL and I bought either 30 or 60 BCX for 12$.

Uraeus and Djinn Renova were my 2nd and 3rd purchases. I bought 4 BCX of each of them for around 4$ per BCX.

Ahhhh the cards were scarce back then!

First Summoners

Since I've decided Life splinter will be my main one even before CL I bought 25 BCX of General Sloan 1 month after the CL started. She was selling for around 3$ per BCX at the time.

I understood the importance of Dragon splinter right away, since it could be played with any other splinter, so I also bought 3 BCX of Quix the Devious for 75$ in total to have added flexibility.

Over the time I've slowly added these summoners:

My Collection Now

At first I started in Silver League and as card prices dropped I slowly updated my deck to gold level. On top of that I maxed out Quix the Devious and most of Chaos Legion Reward cards.

I've successfully played with those cards in Diamond II most of the season and finsihed up in Diamond I.

When SPS staking became mandatory I dropped to the Gold League once again.

Conclusion

It has been a whild ride and I'm glad I'm a part of it all!

Over the years I've fought almost 15000 battles!!

I also have more than 20000 staked SPS currently with a goal to reach 50000 in the future!!
