Djinn Chwala

Dawn of the Djinn 4 of 4 - Only a short time after the Djinn were released, most of them were already seeing their elemental captivity as a blessing rather than a curse. They had far greater power than before, now that they were working with the force of the Planet at their backs. Pursuit of power was at the core of Belludae beliefs, so most of them would make small sacrifices for greater power.

The Djinn have not all found one another, and it will be difficult for them to do so since many of them reside in different elements. This is why several of the Djinn have submitted themselves as cards in the Moxian games, so they can connect with their lost brethren. Gradually they will come together to Praetoria as part of the last lines of defense, channeling the power of the Planet into an impenetrable wall to hold back the Chaos Legion.

STATS AND OVERVIEW

I think Djinn Chwala is a really good and widely available tank for a Dragon team. It has high healthpool and shield. It has 2 damage which is not outstanding but not too bad. It's 2 speed makes it a decent choice in Reverse Speed battles. Finally it has an anti-melee ability: Thorns. This is why I really like it, furthermore it's not a legendary dragon so it can be used in Lost Legendaries battles as well.

It is an epic chaos legion reward card therefore you can earn it from chests, buy or rent it. I personally do own multiple copies of it. As you can see in the table below at the moment it is not a cheap card as a regural foil and an expensive one as a gold foil. There are a lot of available copies at the moment.

BATTLE RULESET

I was in gold 2 at the time of the battle. As you can see I had a nice ruleset.
Rules:

Heavy Hitters40Water
Lost Magic-Dragon

BATTLE LINE UP

QUIX THE DEVIOUS

Quix gives -1 ranged damage and -1 speed to the enemy team. I do not own it, so I rented it out because I had Dragon focus. It costs only 4 mana and it's a legendary so I can use level 3 commons and I used it to my advantage. I chose this summoner because of the limited availability of the splinters in the battle and my daily focus and I saw that my opponent recently played teams had rangeds.

DJINN CHWALA

I chose this as the week's challenge card. I think it is a really good tank, so I put it into the first row. It's thorns ability is a huge advantage against melee monsters. I do own a level 2 copy of it, but not a gold foil so I was renting this card.

CARNAGE TITAN

The Carnage Titan is a really really good Dragon card. It has high mana cost but it has good advantages, it can be used as a second row off-tank because of the Reach ability. Furthermore it has Double Strike ability, which is awesome. Recently I was lucky as I opened it from a pack.

DRAGON JUMPER

Dragon Jumper it is an exceptional card in my opinion. It has good damage, huge speed, has one of my favourite abilities: Opportunity, plus Flying and last but not least decent healthpool. For all of this it only costs 7 mana so I think it is widely usable. I really like to use this card, because it attacks the lowest health monster on the enemy team, it has really good speed and damage for it. So it can kill an enemy monster before it deals any damage. This is a huge advantage in my opinion. Unfortunately I do not own this card, so I was renting it.

DEEPLURKER

The Deeplurker one of my favourite Water splinter cards. This is a level 3 copy, I only have a level 2, so I was renting this one. It costs only 6 mana and for that you'll get 7 health which is nice, 3 damage and speed and one of the best abilities Opportunity. As a level 3 it is almost as useful and dangerous as the Dragon Jumper. With both of them you can be almost sure that they'll kill at least 1 monster in the first round.

AXEMASTER

Axemaster another one of my favourite Water splinter cards. Before Chaos Legion came out I and my clan mates were talking about what to buy and this was in the list and I bought one. I can tell you that I absolutely not regret it. It is a really good monster it costs 7 mana, but you get 2 ranged damage and 4 speed, just 5 health and a really really nice ability: Double Strike. So it can deal 4 damage in one turn and if you are lucky it will deal it to 2 different enemy monsters.

POSEIDON

Poseidon is an interesting card from the Dice collection. It has relatively high mana cost: 9. But it has really good ranged damage: 4, decent speed: 3, exceptional healthpool: 8 and the most interesting part is the ability: Shield it is rarely seen on a ranged monster, but thanks to this I always like to use it as a last row off tank. If my enemy do not have much Sneaky magic damagers, than Poseidon usually survives the battles. Unfortunately I do not own it.

ROUND 1

image.png

I saw that my enemy uses higher level summoners than I have. I had Dragon focus so I had to chose a tricky path in this battle. I only had this legendary summoner rented out. Because it's a legendary I can use leveled cards with it. As you can see my opponent definetly has the card level advantage, but mostly used common cards. After the buff/debuff round the battle will commence.

ROUND 2

image.png

In the first round 2 of the enemy monsters died and one of them is injured. My Axemaster took a beating as well. My tank is holding well, which I can't tell about my off tank it is badly damaged.

ROUND 3

image.png

In the 2nd round the enemy lost another 2 monsters and I lost the Axemaster. You can see that this will be the last round. So we can say that quality (higher rarity) is victorious over quantity (higher levels). Although I didn't counter my enemy fully it was easier battle than I hoped for.

Link to the battle

Did my strategy work?

Yes, I won the battle. It was a nice win and my plan was a success, I enjoyed it.

What will I try differently next time?

Given this ruleset I would not change my lineup. I know that it was a risky tactic, but sometimes you have to risk to win.

Thanks for the reading, I hope you enjoyed, see you on the battlefield!
