Hi everyone, this week's challenge is to share a Splinterlands battle with the WOOD NYMPH card.

WOOD NYMPH STATS

WOOD NYMPH is an Alpha/Beta edition monster, common rarity and Earth splinter.
It is a Magic attack and low speed card. Level 1 it has 2 life, 1 magic damage, 1 speed and
ability. This is what makes this card good. At every turn it will heal the card in the first position. It can count a lot in any battle. There are some downsides to this, it has only 2 health so Opportunity monsters can kill it in the first turn or due to low (1) speed it can be killed before it can use its ability. So it's position is vital.
A common rarity monster with 4 mana at level 6 it gains ability
(gives 1 health to all allied cards on the battlefield) which makes the monster a great low cost support.

Fortunately I have the WOOD NYMPH card. As you can see in the picture below it's cost at the time of writing this is 1.43$. I think this is a low cost for this card, I really recommend to buy at least one of it.

Here comes the battle:

I was in silver 3 at the time of the battle. As you can see I had a tricky ruleset.
Rules:

Back to Basics: Monsters lose all abilites (bye-bye ability).
Earthquake: Non-Flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round.

So what did I chose to do?

For Summoner: Brighton Bloom it will give the whole squad Flying which counters the Earthquake rule (Water splinter was out by rules so I did not worry about Vera Salacia summoner).

Monsters:

• Djinn Chwala nice tank even without Thorns ability, high health and armor.
• Dragon Spirit off tank in case Djinn would die. High speed can help a lot to miss against such opponents.
• Wood Nymph just to complete the challenge and some magic damage always welcomed.
• Regal Peryton finally another high speed card for some miss chance + magic damage + relative high health.

Did my strategy work?

Yes, I won the battle. Due to Earthquake and my summoner I was confident. To be honest in this case I think I prepared against the battle rules rather my opponent. I had a win streak so I got 36 points + 1.873 DEC as a reward.

What will I try differently next time?

To be honest I used WOOD NYMPH only because of the challenge. I think I could use any other card from earht splinter, but it did decent damage to my enemy therefore it earened it's spot without the ability.
