Bots Burn Them Yourself

Lets face it bots are a reality in our virtual world of splinterlands. Personally I don't have a problem fighting them as they generally give me a win which helps me wipe out my daily quests; also from what i understand they also give us shorter cues for our ranked battles. I am a newer player as i started late september so I never saw the long wait times when there were fewer active acounts.

I have found that even using bronze level cards even in silver league really helps give the edge against these bot programs; even if they use their algorithms to pick the same cards as you just a few extra hit points of speed can swing the battle really far in your favour. Also with the release of chaos legion even the common chaos and reward cards are extremely cheap right now, so getting them to level three even as owned cards isn't that bad. I re-invest my meager earnings as a new player picking one splinter at a time and working each to a bronze level then move to the next; even buying gold cards on occasion if the price is right.

Summoners are the bottleneck though, and right now they are about as reasonable as I have seen since i started playing; 5 to get them to level 2 (max bronze) isn't that bad. Again you don't need all of them (in fact i rent them until i can earn them) but they are critical.

Here I show two battles with bots and i fought the same name a few times with just the numbers changed behind the name:

These are silver league bots and as you can see are using novice level cards. These two wins gave me enough DEC to buy myself another chaos legion common card to increase my power permanently as well as strengthen another splinter. Yes this takes a bit of work, but it allows me to re-invest my time instead of just dumping cash straight into the game all the time.

I understand the argument that the bots are draining resources, and i do see that side. But i also look at it as a blessing that i can grow myself while facing predictable opponents as their algorithms can't account for the human factor in game play; especially since I am trying to climb up into higher ranked play without renting a small fortune in cards to stay there. This makes them a dirty necessity at the lower ranks in my opinion as it gives newer players access to more battles and consiquently battle experience.

So in conclusion even with a handful of slightly better just common cards you can turn the advantage to you and pass these bots leaving them in the dust.
