My most epic battle and my splinterlands goal for the new year
I've been involved in so many battles over the past year, but there's one that stands out. The ruleset for that battle was "silenced summoners" which meant summoners would not be able to give their buffs and debuffs. The mana cap was 29.
One thing I usually do is that when the mana cap is small, I use Thaddius Brood as summoner.

It's a death summoner and it's gives me access to cool monsters I use to execute such kinds of battles.
In the first position, I put Cursed Windeku.

This is usually my go-to monster for the tank position whenever I'm using a death summoner. In addition to being a melee attack monster, it has the health stat (10) to enable it withstand the attack pressure that comes with the first position. Its thorns ability also adds more efficacy to its capacity to wreak havoc
I put the soul fiend in the second position.

It costs no mana and has just 1 health, but it adds to the attack and also adds to the numbers in my line up.
Silent Sha-vi occupied the third position.

This is a melee attack monster with an attractive attack power of 3, which is one of the reasons I chose it for this battle. It's sneak ability also grant it the ability to attack from any position which is another reason why I chose it.
In the fourth position I put Insidious Warlock.

This magic attack monster has a good health Stat, but more importantly, it's recharge ability gave me a good advantage in this battle.
Weirding Warrior had it's own ranged attack to offer from the fifth position as well as its shatter ability.

In the last position was another ranged attack monster which I use a lot, Dhampir Stalker.

It has a good attack power of 3, and a good health stat, yet it's costs a relatively low mana of 7.
My opponent also used Thaddius Brood as summoner. The enemy line up includes Cursed Windeku, Carrion Shade, Riftwing, Life Sapper, Soul Strangler and Dhampir Stalker.

The battle was a balanced one and we almost cancelled each other out. My tank, Cursed Windeku came under attack and was eliminated first, but my units fought back and eliminated the enemy tank. With each round, I lost a monster and so did my opponent. My opponent's Riftwing seemed to be a little problem for me but Insidious Warlock's recharge ability took care of it.
As the battle reached the final stages, I was almost losing but my Dhampir Stalker came to the rescue with a barrage of late attacks to win me the game.

My splinterlands goal for the new year
I've been playing splinterlands for a while now and compared to when I first started, I can say that I have come a long way. One of my goals moving forward is to improve my battle skills. I have been involved in so many battles and I have lost some and won some. Although my skills have improved since my first ever battle, I believe it can be better. I want to sharpen my battle skills even more. I want to become a formidable splinterlands player.
I learn from every battle and I intend to participate in more battles to further sharpen my skills.
I also want to improve my card collection. There are several incredible cards that I have seen and I desire to have them. It is my goal to have a magnificent array of cards at my finger tips. The better cards one has, the greater the chances of victory. There is so much to explore in splinterlands and it is my goal to explore very much.
Another crucial goal of mine is to make friends with fellow Splinterlands players. Splinterlands is not just a game, it's a community, it's an ecosystem filled with a wide array of players. I intend to develop a lot of friendships through Splinterlands. One advantage of making friends is that you get to learn some things from them. I can learn their strategies, preferred card combinations and tips to help me succeed more in splinterlands.
It's one thing to have goals, it's another thing to develop a plan towards achieving them. A huge part of my plan is to partake in more battles and tournaments. The more I participate, the more I learn what works and what doesn't. The more I also learn what strategy to use in certain rulesets or situations and what strategies not to use. In addition, the more I battle and win, the more I earn rewards to enable me improve my collection of cards. Battling more also gives me the opportunity to make more friends within the Splinterlands ecosystem. In summary, I intend to participate in more battles to achieve my goals.
