SEASON RENTALS - SPLINTERLANDS PT/EN
No dia 23 de Junho de 2022 foi feita uma postagem na conta oficial @Splinterlands abordando as grandes mudanças que ocorreriam no sistema de recompensas da partidas ranqueadas e praticamente tudo que estava lá se concretizou, exceto uma única coisa.
É sobre este assunto que eu abordarei hoje pois acredito ser uma peça chave para auxiliar na qualidade de vida de todos os jogadores, eu estou falando do recurso aluguel de temporada.
On June 23, 2022, a post was made on the official account @Splinterlands addressing the major changes that would occur to the ranked match reward system and pretty much everything that was there came to fruition, except one thing.
This is what I'm going to talk about today because I believe it's a key piece to help quality of life for all players, I'm talking about the season rental feature.
Vamos começar falando sobre o que é esse recurso. Na postagem mencionada acima a equipe de desenvolvimento mencionou que o mercado de aluguel é um dos componentes-chaves para a economia do jogo e que atualmente há muita dificuldade no gerenciamento de alugueis pois os preços não são estáveis e as cartas alugadas são constantemente canceladas, gerando um árduo retrabalho para os jogadores que alugam cartas e um trabalho para os que colocam suas cartas para alugar e precisam ficar alterando o valor para se adequar às grandes variações do mercado.
Entendendo que isso afeta negativamente os dois lados levantou-se a ideia de criar um aluguel de temporada que permitisse o jogador disponibilizar sua carta para alugar por um determinado preço e esse aluguel duraria até o final da temporada vigente. Isso facilitaria imensamente a vida de quem aluga cartas pois não teria que constantemente ficar checando suas cartas para conferir se elas foram canceladas e tendo o trabalho de procurá-las novamente por preços atrativos (geralmente quando uma carta é cancelada, você encontrará outras no mercado por valores muito superiores aos que eram pagos anteriormente).
Let's start by talking about what this feature is. In the post mentioned above, the development team mentioned that the rental market is one of the key components for the game's economy and that currently there is a lot of difficulty in managing rentals because prices are not stable and rented cards are constantly cancelled, generating an arduous rework for players who rent cards and a job for those who put their cards for rent and need to keep changing the value to adapt to the wide variations of the market.
Understanding that this negatively affects both sides, the idea was raised of creating a season rental that would allow the player to make their card available for rent for a certain price and that rental would last until the end of the current season. This would make life immensely easier for card hirers as they wouldn't have to constantly check their cards to see if they were canceled and having to go through the trouble of looking for them again at attractive prices (generally when a card is cancelled, you'll find others on the market for amounts much higher than those previously paid).
Eu faço muitos alugueis para me manter no Gold I e constantemente tenho que lidar com cancelamentos, gastando muito tempo para ir atrás de novas cartas. A adição do Aluguel por temporada seria um recurso incrível que melhoraria bastante a qualidade de vida do jogador. Além da qualidade de vida há outros benefícios advindos dessa adição, por exemplo:
Os alugueis de temporada tornam as cartas alugadas mais previsíveis, permitindo que o jogador se aventure em ligas mais altas sem o medo de sofrer com eventuais cancelamentos.
O jogador poderá aceitar pagar um pouco mais caro em uma carta para não ter o trabalho de ficar gerenciando cancelamentos e novas locações durante a temporada.
O primeiro ponto mencionado é o mais importante de todos, afinal o desejo principal dos desenvolvedores é que os jogadores comprem cartas e subam de liga, mas geralmente o jogador se prende em uma liga inferior por medo de experimentar uma liga maior mas ter seus alugueis cancelados e sofrer com consequências negativas.
Sem essa possibilidade as pessoas avançarão de liga mais facilmente e conforme verem o quão vantajoso isso é, passarão a comprar suas próprias cartas ao invés de alugar, girando ainda mais a economia do jogo.
I take a lot of rentals to keep myself on Gold I and constantly have to deal with cancellations, spending a lot of time chasing new cards. The addition of Season Rentals would be an awesome feature that would greatly improve the player's quality of life. In addition to quality of life, there are other benefits from this addition, for example:
Season rentals make rented cards more predictable, allowing the player to venture into higher leagues without the fear of suffering from eventual cancellations.
The player can accept to pay a little more in a letter to not have the work of managing cancellations and new rentals during the season.
The first point mentioned is the most important of all, after all, the main desire of the developers is for players to buy cards and move up in the league, but usually the player is stuck in a lower league for fear of trying a bigger league but having their rentals canceled and suffer negative consequences.
Without this possibility, people will advance through the league more easily and as they see how advantageous this is, they will start buying their own cards instead of renting, turning the game's economy even more.
Movimentar a economia é primordial para o crescimento do jogo, mas para que isso ocorra de maneira sustentável é preciso que o jogador consiga utilizar o mercado sem sofrer com a extrema volatilidade do aluguel diário.
O lançamento do aluguel por temporada seria a solução perfeita para diminuir essa volatilidade, garantindo que o jogador possa se programar, gastar exatamente o que deseja e buscar avançar de liga de maneira adequada e sem surpresas. Before now the plan was that cards coukd not be canceled until the rental days is expired. But now I see only for 48hrs and can be canceled, really not helpful as I've been affected by this too.

Yeah, cancellations are the main reason I'm almost giving up on playing, it's a lot of time spent looking for cards
