What is up in the GalaGames universe? Is my node doing a good job?

The crypto industry is booming and people are playing games online based on blockchain technology, and people are earning money setting up nodes, joining liquidity pools, staking, and investing. It is all fun. But, I do believe that the gaming industry is extremely important for the technology to go mainstream, and it has a bigger potential long-term than thousands of farms and finance platforms mostly doing exactly the same.

And that is how I bumped into GalaGames, a fantastic platform where you can create a free account and start to play different games online. You can create your own wallet that can be used to receive tokens, purchase effect, and if you have a node, generate some income.

You pay for extras in the games...

If you decide to play a game in the Gala Games universe, you will have to register an account first. This is completely free. I tried to play a little bit myself, but I have so many other tasks that I deem to be more important, so I stopped after testing one of the games for 15 minutes (which reminded me of Sim City and other similar games).

But, within the games you can, of course, spend GALA tokens to buy extra stuff that will make your characters, your tanks, or other things look cooler, work faster, and so on.

And, if you want to support the platform, you can also create a Gala node and earn daily Gala tokens with your node. But, let me warn you - creating a Gala node is getting more and more expensive, as the price for creating a node is increasing as more and more nodes are created. Last week, the price was $15,000 per node, currently, the price is $18,000. When the project has reached a roof of 50,000 nodes, the price will be approximately $33,000 per node, and after that, you cannot create new nodes anymore. At that time, a marketplace will open where you can sell your node to people interested, however.

How much can you earn with a Gala node?

Those who joined the project early were incredibly lucky. They bought a node for maybe $5000 or cheaper and now they receive a daily revenue with this node of approximately 300-500 tokens. That is worth $30-$50 per day, depending on the actual payout on that given day and the value of the Gala token (which is currently $0.1 per token). Those who joined back then are in a plus long time ago, and many of them have even compounded their income and created even more nodes. As a result, the person receiving the highest payout daily is receiving more than 140,000 Gala tokens per day! That is currently somewhere between $10,000-14,000 per day. That is a nice income!

If you decide to create a brand new node, then you can calculate with an income of approximately $30-$40 per day, and do the rest of the calculations yourself. You can read more about how it works in this article.

This is one additional cost, and that is running the node itself on a VPS or on your computer. That cost, is, however, very little, and personally, I only pay $15 per month for my VPS, meaning that I generate that income within half a day actually running the node.

Is it worth checking out GalaGames?

I would clearly say yes. You can just forget about the nodes, but if you like gaming and want to check out a blockchain platform that is really professional, with great games, and looking good... this is something I would take a closer look at.

$17,000 for a node is just way too much... even though it has potential for the future to bring some steady income on a daily basis. I guess I will remain with gaming!

Yeah, for most people $17.000 is way beyond their budget for something that you cannot trust entirely. But, the platform itself is luckily easy to access, so the nodes can easily be avoided!

This will be very awesome in the coming years with the way crypto is trending at the moment

It sure has potential. I remember reading somewhere that Axie Infinity is something like the most popular platform in some country in Asia for online gaming, and it sure has potential. I hope GalaGames will achieve something similar and turn even bigger!
