Healing X Healing

Healing abilities in Splinterlands are difficult to handle because you need to overcome the amount of healing received or eliminate the support that provides this effect. In one of my ranked matches yesterday, the game with the Earthquake rule and little available mana suggested the possibility of assembling a composition heavily focused on healing.

So I did, and when I started the battle, I noticed that my opponent had done the same! In my team, 3 cards with Tank Heal and 1 card with Triage were chosen. Meanwhile, the opposing team opted for 2 Triages and only 1 Tank Heal .

Battle.

Battles like this are difficult to predict the winner because there are many variables involved; besides the various heals, there are also two additional sources of damage from the combat rules. Not knowing what to expect, I simply decided to watch the confrontation.

It unfolded exactly as you might imagine: numerous attacks and counterattacks, heals being executed, and new damage being caused by the Earthquake . Because of having 2 Triages , the Pelacor Bandit was my biggest problem, but fortunately, the Albatross was here to balance the match in my favor, positioned in the best possible way to stay alive for as long as possible and ensure that Lord Arianthus wasn't taken down.

With the constant healing of my Tank and the damage caused/healed in the opponent's backline, in round 7 finally, the cards with Flying were eliminated (simultaneously). Among the survivors, the Angelic Mandarim had a healing feature but luckily for me, it only works in the backline, so once it moved to the frontline, victory was assured.

Matches like this are difficult to devise accurate strategies for, but fortunately, Lord Arianthus handled it (with 3 supports healing, life gets easy, right?). If it weren't for the Odd Ones Out rule, I probably would have assembled a composition with Kralus + Adelade Brightwing as they would be a highly effective duo in this situation.

Despite the concerns, this match earned me great rewards, generating 465 Glints and 3.271 SPS . Unfortunately, I haven't been performing well in recent days, so I'm still stuck in the middle of Diamond I, but I hope to soon reach Champion III again to taste how the rewards are in the higher leagues.

It's a tough Ruleset, but you had an amazing tank in the front and it did the job. Without that your opponent could have easily taken the game off you. It's such a game to play and win.
