Splinterlands: Bought the Level 3 Rare Archon of the Water Element and 2 other cards! 🔥

After several seasons of testing and based on recent experiences, late last night I finally decided that I needed to incorporate a higher-level version of Marlai Singariel—the Rare Archon of the Water Element—into my deck. To do this, I first purchased 3,100 DEC from Hive Engine, which, as always, was a very smooth experience. I didn't actually need to spend that much DEC for the specific purchase, but since I was running low on this currency in my wallet, I decided to buy a little extra. I then transferred those DEC from Splinterlands into my in-game wallet and proceeded to search for the Archon on the market. Now, here come the crucial points where one needs to apply some strategic thinking when making a purchase. Since I just added some Level 3 cards of this element to my deck yesterday, purchasing a Level 3 Archan has become a necessity for me; otherwise, with an Archan of a lower level, I wouldn't be able to utilise these newly added Level 3 cards to their full potential. I only realised this yesterday when I found myself unable to utilise the full powers of those newly added cards with my Level 1 Archan. So, in short, you need an Archan of the exact same level as the cards you wish to use.

Now, there were several options for this purchase: I could either directly search for and purchase a Level 3 Archon using the filters, or I could buy 15 copies of the Level 1 version and then manually combine them to level them up. I evaluated both options here and compared their costs; as you can see in the screenshot above, if I were to purchase 15 Level 1 copies individually, the total cost would amount to $0.82—meaning a Level 3 Archon would effectively cost me $0.82. Next, I searched for a Level 2 Archon, but its price appeared to be even higher than that of the Level 3 version, so purchasing it made no sense either. Furthermore, the maximum level for this Archon was Level 4, priced at $3.99—a cost it certainly did not deserve. In fact, for less than half that price, I could have purchased 25 Level 1 copies to create a max-level Archon myself; however, since I didn't actually need a max-level version at the moment, I decided to focus on Level 3.

Until now, the best deal was to individually purchase 15 copies of a Level 1 card and upgrade them to Level 3; however, by using filters to search directly for a Level 3 Archan, I stumbled upon the absolute best deal. Fortunately, there was only one listing available, priced at approximately $0.65. This turned out to be the ultimate bargain, as it was even cheaper than purchasing 15 individual copies, and I was acquiring a Level 3 Archan for less than the cost of a Level 2 one. So, without a moment's hesitation, I quickly acquired the necessary DEC and purchased this Archan for 1,190 DEC, making it a permanent addition to my deck.

Following this, I added two more Magic-Electrified cards of this same element to my deck. Of these, I already possessed a Level 1 version of the Shock Trooper; however, having recently observed the Level 3 version of this card performing exceptionally well against me in several battles, I decided to incorporate this higher-level variant into my deck while upgrading my strategy—primarily due to its Swiftness ability. The other card I added is the Water Diviner, which ranks among the highest-level cards in my deck. My decision to rent the Level 6 version was driven by its remarkably low cost; although I am unsure whether I will actually be able to utilise it, it might be possible to deploy this card in conjunction with my Legendary Dragon Archon. However, even if that proves unfeasible, the card's stats at Level 3 are by no means poor, and it will assist me in optimising my card lineup—particularly in "Low Mana" battles. In the coming days, I will share with you in detail the battles fought using this entire set of cards; until then, stay tuned!🔥😎

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
