➡️Just like life on Earth, every new player's journey in Splinterlands begins with observation. Observation is the foundational step for learning, creativity, personal growth, and understanding the Splinterlands world. Therefore, it cannot be ignored or underestimated. So, whenever you first land in Splinterlands, instead of immediately jumping into battle, try to get a feel for this world. See how vast and complex it is, observe what other players are doing and how they do it, understand how the powers work, the importance of the rulesets, the significance of each individual stat, how unique and distinct each element is, the many ways you can earn rewards, and how you can cleverly reinvest those in-game rewards to make yourself stronger. Although Splinterlands is an ever-evolving game where learning and improving never stop, you must understand the foundational rules and mechanics of the game before jumping straight into the battlefield.↩️

↪️Just as you typically buy a country's currency at the airport upon landing, similarly, upon arriving in Splinterlands, you should buy as many SPS tokens as possible and stake them in the game. Staking means locking your tokens, removing them from circulation. In return, Splinterlands gives you staking rewards, also in SPS tokens. This is important not only for the rewards but also because it increases the rewards you receive for winning battles, ultimately boosting your in-game earnings. This makes you feel more motivated and allows you to enjoy the game more. These in-game rewards, in various forms, can then be used to add new cards to your deck, which we will discuss further later.↩️

↪️Now that you have an understanding of in-game mechanics, the game, including the stats, rulesets, elements, abilities, and their impact, and you also have some SPS tokens staked, you should start playing the game in the third step of the roadmap. Watch each of your battles thoroughly, whether you win or lose, and analyse the impact of each power, ruleset, and ability. This will help you understand why you lost a particular battle or which powers you can use in the best possible way. This will be a lot of fun because one day you feel like you've mastered the game, but the very next day, the game rechallenges you with different battlefield conditions, and you realise that there's still so much more to learn, which keeps the excitement going.↩️

↪️All of this will help you improve your strategies, but with basic cards, you probably won't be able to improve your in-game ranking because as your ranking increases, the battles become more difficult, and your opponents will have better cards that basic cards can't compete with. Therefore, you should keep shopping in the reward shop with the Glint rewards you win in the game. Here you will find various loot chests and rarity draws that you can purchase to extract new and better cards. This step will play a crucial role in your deck building, and with the new, better cards, you will be able to make further improvements to your battle strategies. However, to add better cards to your deck, you can also rent them every season or purchase them if you want. But I would recommend renting the cards because it allows you to test a card with different rule sets and in various battle conditions. This helps you determine whether a seemingly powerful card is actually powerful for you or not, because everyone has a different battling style and understanding of game mechanics. Therefore, it's essential to test the cards first and then, after complete satisfaction, purchase them to make them yours permanently.🔥 ↩️

↪️Besides increasing my SPS holdings, improving my in-game ranking has been a crucial milestone for me. I buy SPS tokens periodically, but as you can see in the screenshot above, I've also won a significant amount of SPS by playing the game, and I continue to win. This requires not only better cards but also ever-evolving strategies. And that's a big lesson: instead of taking it too seriously, just go with the flow of the game and enjoy it. Add new cards from the reward shop and the open market from time to time, combine level them up when you have enough copies, and keep refining your strategies. Although this game challenges you at every turn, it's equally enjoyable. So, treat the game like a game, and build your deck slowly and smartly. You'll be surprised how quickly you'll start doing well, which will eventually increase your rewards and double the fun.

Splinterlands is no easy place, and that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. Powers working in perfect synergy are what make a strategy successful, so add good cards to your deck, but also work on developing a better understanding of the rulesets and other in-game mechanics, and strive to win as many battles as possible. 🔥
