My social media contest entry this week (CURSED WINDEKU Fanart)

Greetings to all SplinterLands enthusiasts! Today, it is with great excitement that I share my version of the dreaded CURSED WINDEKU for this week's social media contest. I chose this card specifically because I wanted to give it an even scarier approach, and it certainly reminded me of the eerie SCP-096. Let me tell you about the exciting process behind the creation of this masterpiece.

LINE ART

I started with the line art stage, where I captured my initial vision of the character. I began by sketching a guide of the CURSED WINDEKU with a thin build, depicting him in a pose that appeared to be running. However, during sketching, I had an artistic epiphany and decided to change the pose to one where the Cursed Winkedu was entering through a window. After adjusting the sketch to this new idea, I proceeded to do the final LINE ART, giving it details such as wrinkles and horns in a separate layer from the body to make my job easier.

COLORING

The next step was coloring, an exciting stage where I brought the character to life. Using the appropriate colors extracted from the reference image, I started by coloring the skin of the Cursed Winkedu, making sure to capture every tone and hue to enhance his creepy appearance. Next, I worked on the horns, giving them a detailed texture and imposing look. The teeth also received the attention they deserved to highlight their menacing appearance. Finally, I carried out a thorough rendering job to give the Cursed Winkedu a more realistic and terrifying look.

BACKGROUND

The background was another crucial part of the work. I colored the door frame and added the ambient lights and shadows cast by CURSED WINDEKU himself. For the wall, I decided to paint it a captivating purple color and add texture, as well as ambient shadows and shadows generated by the character's presence. Next, I created an earthen floor, adding detailed texture and shadows to the outside area of what would appear to be the house. To embellish the environment, I included bushes with a little effort to make them look like leaves. Finally, I painted a dark green background, enhanced with strong shadows to highlight the gloomy atmosphere surrounding the Winkedu Maldito. And, of course, as a final touch, I added my personal signature to leave my stamp on this wonderful creation.

All in all, the experience of recreating the CURSED WINDEKU for the SplinterLands contest has been rewarding and exciting. Every step, from line art to coloring to background creation, was carefully planned to convey the spooky essence of this card. I hope you all appreciate and enjoy my personal vision of this. terrifying character and that this creation can stand out in the contest. thank you for your support and enthusiasm!
