Splinterlands: Survival Bracket 1-5 Liquidity Bot 250k Glint Testing Challenge - Round 5
Intro
Yes, I double dipped, couldn't help it! That shiny Glint was too good to turn down! Rumour has it Round 5 might be the last of the Survival Mode Bot Training, but as yet unconfirmed. For anyone that got in early and has been testing from the start I take my hat off, a currently possible 1.25 Million Glint on the table, definitely not something to be sneered at.
I'm going to be staring at a 500k GLint stash in the near future and genuinely taking a hard think exactly how i'm going to spend it sensibly. What a nice problem to have.. 😇

Double checked on Discord and after some initial jockeying around from multiple queries the Round 5 of Survival Bot was clarified and I decided why not give it another go.
I'm definitely not the only player that has caught on to this interesting method of boosting Collection Power in a very short space of time. Interestingly as well the markets haven't shown a mountain of saturation, so it's fair to say that everyone isn't using the Glint to cash in, which is great to see!
The Rules..
Same as last time, not too complicated, just a few items to follow:
- Has to be Survival brackets 1-5.
- Cooldowns have essentially been removed, cooldown reduction 99.99%
- 250 battles required (manual only)
- Greater than 50% win rate
- Fill out the Feedback Form (ST5)
How Did It Go?
First things first a decision had to be made about what Bracket to inhabit, based on my CP the only sensible decision was to hug the Novice Bracket.
Having learnt from the last Survival adventure I was already aware of a set of Rentals I would have to sort out before getting underway, not a very long list but vital nonetheless to give me a fighting chance.
It's actually amazing what can be achieved on a shoe string budget!
It was a very different proposition to last time. This time around I started in Gold League so there was nowhere to hide from the more difficult Bots, and they made themselves known.
Early on there was some success but there were periods where I took a battering and went down +10 losses in a row, which I hadn't experienced before. Thankfully commonsense prevailed in these scenarios and I just took a break and came back the next day to try and recover by average battle success percentage.
So far I've managed to scrape myself to Diamond III, which feels like a hell of an achievement, with what I'm working with in terms of CP and also that I was scrapping from day one with no really easy onramp.
Battle Recap
Something amusing that happened this time around was the occasional injection of a completely over the top Bot (based on my own CP) to stop any serious win streaks from getting underway.
Didn't get beyond Round 2, Alpha'd right off the park lolz.
It was actually a useful learning exercise understanding the scope of what raw power is available to bring to bear in certain matches. Something to strive for in future most likely!
Current Survival Season Status
As previously mentioned pretty damn proud of scrapping my way into Diamond III, should I actually be there, is the bigger question lol?
Definitely a lot more competition around this time, and a few other competitors in the Bracket that have posted some real heavy numbers, Hopeback for example 410 battles, that is pretty damn hardcore, 250 this time around with my need to almost cooldown after each battle was hard work, so respect to be handed out there!
Survival "Take Two" Conclusions
Unsure which way to go with my thoughts, put a tonne of effort in, made some league progress but the writing is definitely on the wall now in terms of required muscle to really make Survival work.
Chuffed with the Diamond III at present, and just like last time i've learnt a bit more about the Meta from watching what the Bots served up for certain rulesets. It will be steering me on a few shrewd purchases in the coming days.
I think my biggest take away this time, apart from the 250K Glint which is going to be put to very good use is that next season I'd reallly like to Rent out a set of Dragon Cards and go to town in any matches that have the dragon rule and high Mana.
Nidhoggr summoner and Rage combo is awesome, throw in a few more Dragon types like Night Reaper and pick the 'Blast' summoner buff and the outcome is pretty special.
So fingers crossed I can snipe a few of those juicy cards on the Rental Market an have some fun next season. Definitely a ways off buying a 'Rage' card but who knows, some day, he is an absolute monster!!
