Discord down - how affected are you all here?
Ich merke gerade wie abhängig wir auf Hive von Discord sind
Man kann ja kaum was machen, ausser auf der Chain posten und natürlich spielen, aber diese Asprachen und Diskussionen in den Discord Channels, sei es zu Games, der DACH community, Leofinance Problemen zum PolyCub oder anderes - das meiste wird dort besprochen und diskutiert, schade eigetnlich, könnte man doch die Hive blockchin nutzen. Zeigt, wie abhängig wir sind - vergleichbar mit der Abhängigkeit vom russischen Gas- was lernen wir daraus?

Just realized how important at least Discord is for Hive users, especially when you are involved Games and want to talk to your guild mates about next brawls in Splinterlands or you need to answer questions on Rabona or if you have issues with the recent Leo news around PolyCub. Seems we are too much depending on one service these days. Similar to my country Germany depending on energy delivered by Russia - different story but comparable. Spotify does not really annoys me given I am not really using it.
Time to be active on-chain again
Curious to see if we see more interaction / traffic on Hive during that downtime which now last around 2 hours or so? What are you doing now? Sleeping, watching TV or talking to humans in your real life surroundings?

I noticed it too. Not that I depend on Discord. It can wait. Tomorrow, the day after, it doesn't matter to me :)

True dat - I was just in the middle of discussion around PolyCub where i have issues to discuss via Discord and now I am sitting without a solution, but might be better to focus on real issues :-) - funny to see some twitter discussions - love that one:

Do you remember there was a try at the chat frontend on Steem? Well, blockchain based social platforms aren't suitable for chat functionality like slack and discord are ...
i remember Steemit.chat which was cool - frontend I remember some tried this incl. voting, wasn't it BuildTeam and also the guys of Splinterlands as well? Long ago
Discord geht wieder. War wohl tatsächlich "Down" in der Zeit zwischen meinem Feierabend und dem Kind-ins-Bett-bringen. Ich hab's also gar nicht gemerkt.

Sorry, war gestern früh im Bett! Aber es waren "Alle"! Also Discord war wohl komplett "OFF".
Das ist ja ein Hammer! Das habe ich so noch nicht erlebt.

Dachte mir genau das gleiche. Wieso gibt es eigentlich keine Chat-Funktion, bzw. Diskussionräume? Weils dann keine Votes/$$$ gibt?

Peakd hat ja mit Chat angefangen, auf der Vorgänger Chain Steem gab es DApps die so Chat Räume hatte mit voting etc, aber irgendwie ging alles rüber zu Discord anyway - ja auch besser um Leute, die noch keinen Hive Account onzuboarden
Eine leichtere/schnellere Kommunikation auf Hive als nur über Kommentare bei irgendwelchen Posts wäre auf jeden Fall reizvoll.

Habe Discord schon seit längeren deinstalliert. Es gibt genug Alternativen. Auf Hive haben wir den Hive Chat, welcher kaum genutzt wird.
Da muss mal jemand eine Hivord coden :-)

Einerseits hast Du schon Recht! Man könnte viele Diskussionen mit Kommentaren , Posts und Replies lösen und auf der blockchain für immer speichern.
Nur werden einige dann den Post verpassen. (Ganz normal man kann ja nicht alles mit bekommen oder man löst sich vom realen Leben) Discord hat schon viele gute Features um sich gut auszutauschen und dann wenn man will sich die Infos holen ...

I dont use Spotify but rarely use discord.
Yup, gerade als ich Mittagspause machte und Discord Messages checken wollte - LOL - na ja, hab ich halt ein bischen Hive Blog gelesen.
Was ist denn eigentlich mit diesem Hive Chat von dem ich hie und da mal höre aber noch nie gesehen habe?
