If You "Lose a Legend", Raise Another - A Battle Mage Secret Challenge Entry

“Legends are not born, legends are made" is a popular quote from Alexander D. Jones' novel titled Nightsong. This line reminds us that we all can become whatever we want if we give in the necessary preparations and commitment that the expected outcome requires. Our backgrounds, notwithstanding how powerful it is, has limits to which they can hinder our shine and manifestation. We are all stars-in-waiting, to shine in our time and space.

Furthermore, Arnold Schwarzenegger is credited with the saying "Not every legend is a myth, some are flesh and blood. Some legends walk among us, but they aren’t born, they’re built." Affirming with Alexander Jones, Schwarzenegger tells us that we can build legends. That requires a good foresight in seeing value in a seemingly "weakling vessel" as well as hope while we wait for the right time to emerge. History of most heroes in the past and contemporary times have shown that legendary attributes were built in difficult seasons. Some legends rose and became great because they didn't have anyone to speak for them. The afore words are inspired by this edition of Splinterlands Battle Mage Secret Challenge themed - Lost legendaries.

Battle being a combat in warfare between opposing military units of any number or size require strategy and this is knowledge and wisdom put into action. This is why I have intentionally looked deeper into every theme of Splinterlands Battle Mage Secret Challenge to grasp some underlying motivation, wisdom and strategy. About 95 percent of my cards in my Splinterlands deck are either Common, Epic or Rare. My legendary cards constitute about 5% of my total deck. This is so because the legendary cards are very costly or may be I wasn't lucky enough to have them while opening my card packs.

However, the absence of legendary cards in my Splinterlands deck is no excuse to my advancing in the game nor making the most of the levels of cards I have. I am personally of the believe that what I have at a time is enough to get me to where I am going. All that is required is being resourceful in managing the available resources. The Lost legendary battle ruleset provides that Legendary units may not be used but that Legendary summoners are still available. I see legendary summoners as battle leaders with experience who are ready to lead inexperienced (non-legendary) monsters to battle. The monsters would depend hugely on the wisdom of the legendary summoners while also being simple enough to be combined at best, based on their abilities (monsters).

My Battle Experience and Strategy

Drawing a battle manna cap of 25 gave me ample opportunity to choose as much as 4 water cards to join Kelya Frendul summoner for the battle. My addiction for this water summoner is unparalleled. The monsters for the battle were Nerissa Tridawn, Ice Pixie, Merdaali Guardian and Deeplurker.

Nerissa Tridawn is always a great striker and battle frontliner even without any special ability. Being a magic attack monster, it directly depletes the health of the enemy monsters. Backed by Deeplurker at the rear which targets monsters with least health on the second line. The presence of Merdaali Guardian in the team is always a boost for the lead monster in that it replenishes its health. The combo of Nerissa Tridawn, Ice Pixie, Merdaali Guardian and Deeplurker is always a go-to strategy for me if the manna cap permits. Will always use that strategy again and again.

Here is the battle link for your view at how my team made the flawless victory against the enemy team that were also water cards too. The battle lasted for 5 rounds only. All my monsters were standing and in good health count and I earned +22 rating points. Below are screenshots of the battlefield.
