There is a historical war history about the Siege of Vienna in 1683. This battle of Vienna marked a turning point in European history. The outcome of the battle halted the Ottoman expansion into Central Europe and secured the continent from further invasion. Here's the summary of the war story:

In 1683, the Ottoman Empire, under the leadership of Grand Vizier Kara Mustafa, laid siege to the city of Vienna, the capital of the Habsburg Monarchy. Sensing the imminent danger, the Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I sought aid from various European powers.

Led by the Polish king Jan III Sobieski, a coalition force of Habsburg, Polish, and other European troops gathered to defend Vienna. As the Ottoman forces encircled the city, the defenders fortified their positions and prepared for the onslaught. For two months, the siege raged on, with the Ottomans relentlessly bombarding the city's defenses. Inside Vienna, supplies dwindled, and morale wavered as the defenders endured hunger and exhaustion.

But in September, relief finally arrived as Sobieski's Polish cavalry, joined by allied forces, descended upon the Ottoman camp. In a daring cavalry charge, Sobieski's forces broke through the Ottoman lines, turning the tide of the battle.

Caught off guard, the Ottoman army scattered in disarray as the coalition forces pushed forward. The siege was lifted, and Vienna was saved from falling into Ottoman hands.

The coalition force of Habsburg, Polish, and other European which led to the emancipation of Vienna exemplifies the importance of fortifying defenses and the resilience of unified forces against formidable foes.

"Strengthen the fort" is a metaphorical expression that means to reinforce or improve one's defenses, strategies, or position in a particular situation. It suggests taking measures to make oneself or one's organization more resilient or secure against potential threats or challenges. This strategy is really necessary if one must win a SPlinterlands battle with the Healed Out ruleset.

Healed Out ruleset provides that all healing abilities are removed. These healing abilities include Heal, Tank Heal, and Triage. This applies to summoners as well. I drew this battle with manna cap of 20. The limited manna cost cap for the battle pointed to the fact that my selection of units for the battle would have to be very intelligent especially as all units would lose their healing abilities. Incidentally, I love a water monster - Merdaali Guardian with the Tank heal ability. For this battle, it won't be useful.

I summoned the battle using Kelya Frendul Summoner. I selected three monster units - Hardy Stonefish (1), Nerissa Tridawn (9), and Deeplurker (6). Below are screenshots of the battle.

At the end of the first round, my tea lost a monster, the lead monster that was just in place to waste the enemy's attacks. The battle became fierce in the second round, where the enemy also lost a monster unit.

The enemy team fielded magic attack monsters that accessed and broke my defenses unhindered. magic attack monsters ignore the target monster's armor and hit the health. The only magic attack monster in my team could not do so much especially as it was positioned second in the line-up.

By the end of the fourth round, I had just one monster unit active and it was just a melee attack monster against four enemy monsters, three of which were magic attack monsters.
