Gone are the days we played games just for the fun and as leisure. Blockchain technology has changed the narrative and gamers are earning income for daily expenditure. Some are raising huge capital for more investments and capital projects by playing games. The Splinterlands gaming ecosystem has been a home for many gamers and gaming investors. The game team are also making efforts to tweak the gaming expressions and possibilities to help investors break-even their investments.

A Never-ending Development

In the last weeks and months, Splinterlands has been actively reinventing and improving the gameplay and tokenomics of the game in several ways. The team are incredibly hitting milestones in the development roadmap of the game and has made the game a home for many blockchain gamers and investors despite the down trend in the crypto markets.

Having been hit by the bear market effect, Splinterlands has record an upward spiral in development, the aggregate effects which helps to shock the efffect ot the bear market on players and investors.

Splintershards (SPS) Enroute Sustainability

Asides tracks of developments in the Splinterlands ecosystem, there is an intentional attempt by the team to redeem the value of the governance token of the gaming ecosystem - Splintershards (SPS). This had turned the price direction of SPS as well as spicing for more demand of the token. This points to sustainability.

1. More Use cases for Splintershards

Creating new use cases for SPS has been a priority and a recurring update over the last three months. Some of the major added usecases for SPS are as follows:

• SPS stake delegation
• Staked SPS rental market
• Replacement of Collection power in gameplay with SPS staking
• SPS Staking Multiplier for Ranked Battle Rewards
• SPS ranked battle reward pool
• SPS staking reward pool

Amazing that there is a conscious drifting to the initial design for use cases of SPS according to the game's whitepaper.

2. More Demand for SPS

Without a doubt, there is a growing need for SPS. This is majorly driven by the use of staked SPS in gameplay instead of Collection power and SPS Staking Multiplier for Ranked Battle Rewards. Every player wants to earn more and that's cool to have now with more SPS staked. Climbing higher the league requrires more staked SPS which has also opened a huge market for staked SPS rentals. Whale SPS stakers can now make passive income from delegating their SPS without participating actively in game play.

I am personally drawing a new SPS stake goal for myself to e able to participate in higher battle leagues. My goal for 2023 was intially 5,000 but there is the need to push higher to 12,000 so I can be qualified to play Silver I league.

We can begin to see the significant rise in SPS price as demand for SPSP continues to grow. A significantly growing price in the last one month looks so appealing in a deep ear season as this and gives prospects for merrier returns in the coming bull market. This seemingly rising market for SPS signals a good time for a buy as there are no signs for future dipping in the SPS markets.
