A One On One Single Range Monster Battle

It been a while I do come across this kind of battle especially this kind of 12 mana capped with this kind of rule set given, on a norms it will be some kind of rule set that will allow users to select any kind of monster between melee, magic or range and at times it will come with the little leagues rule set, I was somehow surprised when I check this battle requirement after seeing the 12 mana attached to it. It look like a sure odd moment, when you have to gamble or make a tough decision on what to pick from, which monster card will be that important and best fit, should I just use any how cards or just forfeit the battle, these were the thought going through my mind at that very moment.

I had this rare battle with dragonsbane and we could pick from any element with the 3 rule set given, holy protection which give all card the divine shield, Going the distance that only allow range monster card in the battle and lastly the odd ones out that only allow monster with odd mana. Checking out all this criteria, I knew I need a range card with the close range ability, the fire element is the only option I have and I had to check my summoner to pick the 3 based summoner which means I only have 9 mana cap left. I only have 2 best card that fell in this range, Molten ash golem with 6 mana cap and Lava launcher but I had to just pick lava launcher because the attack is more than ash golem own and also it came with 6 armour, any range card will have to break the armour first, lastly is the stun ability that came with it which make it 100% fit.

Submitting my battle and checking what my opponent had in stock for me, he decided to reduce my attack by 1 which was cool but he came with a card that isn't as strong as mine and I won the battle flawlessly without allowing his card to even attack one bit, lava stunned it from the start to the end and I won.
