A Thousand Mile Journey | My Splinterlands Story

Every time I login to my splinterland game dashboard to battle or do stuff that is splinterland based, there is this kind of hapiness that form within me and at times I do wonder what would have happen If i didn't get to know about this particular game or was skeptical about it and didn't join the game early. Since I join the blogging platform, I have been trying to make research on other things to engage in apart from the blog writing aspect, I joined the neoxian community that year since I need a community to engage with and after some months, I came online to a discussion happening on discord about a game called Steemmonster (Splinterlands), I observed a while before asking what game they were talking about, someone try to explain the game to me but someone else made a statement telling the person not to bother explaining since I won't even bother registering, that statement triggered me and bring out the curiosity in me just to show the person such statement is wrong, I check the site and find out we have to get a starter pack which cost 10$.

I waited for some days to gather few bucks from my little earning and I also join the main game discord channel and ask for some promo code if available, someone offer to help me out with the fee, he gave me 6$ and I balance it up to register then I started making other research on what to do, read the tutorial section and some people gameplay/strategy. I also find out without getting cards and levelling them up, I won't advance forward so I started investing most of the $$ i get into the game almost every week, got my first cards, level them up and also started participating in the weekly challenge just to earn more and invest, It wasn't easy but I pull through at a point. Back then, there was no renting section, the only option we had was card delegation but no one want to delegate cards because they need to level up too and also compete in the leaderboard back then.

I really spend a lot of time on this game because every season which is 15 days, I always have a target to meet, first is making sure I top gold 1 league back then and now diamond league now and also I need to have at least 25-30 chest available every season with the hope of seeing good cards when I claim. In 4+years years playing this particular game, I have achievement some certain things like building up my deck collection from scratch, earn some certain rewards from my daily activities, my first achievement is trying to reach championship league once at least to see how battle in that level look like which i did once and now I have to get strong deck to fulfil such dream again, I still have it in mind to enter champion league once again but that will really take lot of things to get it done.

My advice for newbies or those trying to join the game, it isn't too late to join since there is no deadline time and it is even more easier now since you can rent cards easily to boost your gameplay and also increase in rank. But before that, you have to first make your research and also watch most players gameplay and battle strategy to learn one or two because they alway serve as guidelines. There are lot of things to really learn, lot of battles to won and more rewards waiting for you to earn and like they say, splinterlands is more than just a game but have the potential to change and transform your life.
