Hello everybody, how is it going? It's time for more Battle Mage Secrets. Last week's sharing was on arsenal restriction ruleset where only Rare and Common cards can be used. This week the ruleset instead of restricting cards that you can use, it just ignore what you choose for your summoner and treat it like a blank card.

The ruleset of the challenge this week is: Silenced Summoners

Ruleset Spotlight

Silenced Summoners
Summoners do not give any buffs/debuffs or grant/use abilities.
Use your lowest cost and highest level summoner within this ruleset.

Abilities/Cards that get shutdown with this rule set
Essentially, you can still use everything that you have. No cards are restricted but your summoners essentially become blank cards with no abilities, summoners that enable Gladius can no longer enable them.

What thrives with this ruleset?
Now that there will no longer be buffs, we need to pick cards that comes with abilities or even provide global buff to the lineup. There are plenty of such cards with the likes of Queen Mycelia, Supply Runner, Silvershield Knight etc are all good cards to add.

Pick up cards with good stats in health, attack, speed and armour for additional advantage.

With these in mind, let's start to talk about the battle proper.

• Position 5 - Xenith Archer
• Position 4 - Goblin Chariot

Prediction before pressing rumble
Two very different kind of lineup. I setup mine to harness the backline to bring down my opponent while my opponent did a progressive standard lineup to start from the front with backline to also attack the front.

Battle Synopsis

Round 1, Fungus Flinger and Goblin Chariot were killed by my amazing backline, while Wave Brood handling the full barrage of attacks.

Round 2, Another casualty on my opponent side with Xenith Archer also taken out. Wave Brood sustained with the healing of Crustacean King.

Round 3, Another round of attacks saw Goblin Psychic fell as well and we are down to the last 2 cards from my opponent.

Round 4-6, This 3 rounds revolve around the lineup sustaining throughout and clearing out the final 2 cards respectively and securing the win. No casualties on my end.

Post Battle Summary
All in all, a great battle where my lineup held steady from start to end without any casualties even when my opponent had a martyr boost early on to his Unicorn Mustang.

Did my strategy work? Yes it did. I deployed some key strategies in today's gameplay. Wave Brood was selected to soak up damage with its high HP while I prepared Crustacean King to continuously heal it up to ensure we can sustain throughout. Noa The Just while looking like a card without any attack, was key in removing any armour on my opponent's side so that the opportunist and sneakers can do their work and take them out early from the back.

What's the Battle Mage Secret?
The Battle Mage Secret that I would like to share here is that without summoners buff, we need to plan accordingly to have the lineup synergized with one another so that, tanks do what they need, tank heal keep healing up tank, then a global debuff application to open up possibilities to clear things with ease without handling any armour.
