PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 14 May 2024

Greetings to all, we are fresh off a brawl that just concluded for PIZZA 2 about 20 hours ago, and its time to share how the guild fares for the brawl. Participation is a key now, so filling frays become a critical factor for brawl success.

Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my brawl fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. Started this not too long ago and I am still trying to understand more on the Rebellion cards. Without further ado, here's how everything went.

Brawl 1

	Remarks
Selection:	No archer, thorns and fog of war. This just calls for a full mage lineup, so I assembled all the mage I have in my possession for neutral and water, then put them accord to my usual sorting.
Outcome:	Win! My mages always do me proud. While all are mages, they all have their strengths in their own way and helped me in securing the required victory.

Brawl 2

	Remarks
Selection:	Keep to distance, corrosive ward and also opportunity. Best for me will be magic since it bypass armour and I also put in taunt to get channel the attacks towards the taunt monster and triage to keep it alive.
Outcome:	Win! Jini provided the much needed armour to handle the range attackers. Then Mycelic Slipspawn kept all the attack channeled to it and allow the rest of the cards to punish my opponent's lineup to get the victory.

Brawl 3

	Remarks
Selection:	Thorns, counter fire and earthquake. I placed additional armour from Venari Wavesmith and 2 big hitters with high HP hopefully to outlast the earthquake damage.
Outcome:	Lose. My gosh, my opponent outlasted my lineup with 2 flying cards with 1 not even having any attack. You did well with your choice, something for me to learn.

Brawl 4

	Remarks
Selection:	Silent summoner, corrosive ward and aim true. So essentially I put up my standard double martyr lineup so that I can make Oshannus a superb fast attacker supported by the backline.
Outcome:	Win! Way to go, once we clear off each card one by one, we are left just to clear the pegasus. Double martyr still works well to give advantage.

Brawl 5

	Remarks
Selection:	Archers only, no neutral, no heal, so best way is to go with Water for me because of Wave Brood which is one of my favourite taunt tanks for range and the rest will just do what they do usually and hit from the back
Outcome:	Win! Opponent gave up and only fielded a single range without close range, which essentially is a sitting duck.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 5 matches this brawl and managed to win all 4 of the assigned match. Due to poorer participation from other guild, I get another 3 free win. The one match that I've lost is a really good play by my opponent whom manoeuvred well with the flying cards.

We slipped up a little and ended at rank 4, just 1 shy away from the 3rd position. But look at our win rate, from the top 4 guilds, we only had 9 losses. This is something to be proud of, but our participation rate really need more to ensure empty fray do not donate away free wins to others. Keep up the good work and shoot for the podium. Go PIZZA 2!
