PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 2 Jan 2026

Greetings everyone, a year had past by us so quickly and it is now 2026. We had so many amazing brawls throughout 2025 and the first brawl in 2026 which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended just a couple of hours ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I setup each lineup against all the opponents that I am facing in the brawl and how I adjusted each lineup to we get the most out of each ruleset. With a new year reset, I do hope that my updates will be less erratic but timely after the brawl, but do seek your understanding if I missed by a day to cater for some other time sensitive posts. Today's gonna be a much shorter post because we only had 2 official match for this brawl.

Right now my focus and fray to be competing in will be the ones with Conclave Arcana and Rebellion which is either fray 4 or 5. I started gathering more Conclave Arcana and Rebellion cards so as to strengthen my modern ranked battle games and at the same time, will allow me more versatility to handle each ruleset and hopefully these cards can help me a little in the brawls. To consistently remind myself, I cannot be just using the same old cards at the same level without growth as other players will grow and become stronger. So let's get right on with the brawl report.

	Remarks
Selection:	Equal opportunity and broken arrow. It was an interesting combination and that broken arrow will automatically make me not consider water archon because water archon will do well with suppressing range attackers. So for me, I used Life Splinter with an array of crazy cards that have a mix of magic and melee, at the same time, it also included a healer and a card with repair. As for the gladius I used Captain Katie that will sniff out those cards with no melee and snipe them.
Outcome:	Lose. Unfortunately, the magic barrage by my opponent is crazily strong when they use a combination of Shock Trooper and Captain Katie over at their end which makes it so tough for me because it is a dual colour setup which harness the goodness of cards from both splinters.

	Remarks
Selection:	Back to Basics, Close Range and Camouflage. For this though it is back to basics, I still want Quora in the lineup because she can really hit hard with her big stats with both melee and magic. And in ters of my backline, I prepared 3 elves to capitalize on archon ability to execute rather than to use something generic. Also, archon also reduces magic attack on opponent side to allow me to be less hurt by magic attack.
Outcome:	Win! While Quora alone might not have won me the match, consistent barrage with execute is not easy for opponent to handle. While opponent used dual colours, the lack of magic suppression allowed me to get advantage round by round till we finally clear out everything.

Guild Final Tally

This brawl I am assigned 3 matches and I managed to win 1 of them, lost 1 and having an opponent fleeing. On top of that, the lack of filling of frays allowed me to chalk up another 5 wins bringing the tally to 7 wins in total. No clean sweep but still a very good result.

For this brawl, we are placed 5. And the most interesting thing that happened today is that we had 4 people competing and all 4 of us have the same brawl score. A nice coincidence for the guild. We do need more people coming back to join us for brawls so that we can get more wins. If you see, even without fighting actual matches, I had 5 free wins. Closing
Fewer people participate within the guild for 4 brawls counting and it is taking a toll on our SPS earned and ranking. Hopefully our buddies will come back and participate with us to help us clock in more wins and better rewards.
