PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 6 Mar 2024

Greetings to all, a brawl had concluded for PIZZA 2, we are just fresh off the completion of a guild brawl. A really tough brawl this time for me as we concluded the first brawl for the month of March. AndI would like to share with you what went on for the last brawl PIZZA 2 had where I personally had loads of lesson learnt.

Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my brawl fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. Started this not too long ago and I am still trying to understand more on the Rebellion cards. Without further ado, here's how everything went.

Brawl 1

	Remarks
Selection:	Equalizer ruleset where I planted card on Fire with sufficient melee power and some shield protection
Outcome:	Lose. A bad decision after seeing what my opponent fielded. The heal and repair totally thwart my lineup.

Brawl 2

	Remarks
Selection:	Opportunity to use 2 Gladius and there is resurrect. I used my favourite 2 Gladius cards
Outcome:	Lose. I forget that it is brawl and having too many critter cards will induce big growth for Gladius especially when there is resurrect and things will go out of hand.

Brawl 3

	Remarks
Selection:	I fielded what I could in terms of suitable cards for Fire Splinter with a taunt. But when I say Jacek, I know my plan failed because opponent will be able to scatter.
Outcome:	Lose. As predicted the scattershot wrecked my plan and I cannot contain the blast effect when I planned for a taunt with Kinjo blocking

Brawl 4

	Remarks
Selection:	It is a thorns ruleset with no magic, the only way is to use range attackers, so I used Riftwing as a front shield and Ravenhood with protect and filled the rest with hard hitting range cards.
Outcome:	Win. Finally a hard fought win. The range cards were amazing and smashed hard as required to secure the victory.

Brawl 5

	Remarks
Selection:	Normal match with scatter so I just use what I used normally.
Outcome:	Lose. Skok Dustblight is another headache card to face with the weapons training which gave 2 cards on my opponent side magic attack which makes it painful to face them. That made the difference.

Brawl 6

	Remarks
Selection:	This selection was bad on my end, I only remembered to avoid range attackers but forgot about the earthquake.
Outcome:	Lose. While it looked like I had a stronger lineup, the lack of flying caused me the match and all my cards fell after 2 rounds.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 6 matches this brawl and only managed to win all 1 out of the 6 matches. Not a good result for me and I am rather disappointed with my result. Many learning points to takeaway in terms of placement, ruleset and also expansion of collection.

Unfortunately, we only came in at position 4. We need to get a handhold of our gameplay especially I spotted new ruleset that restrict the number of cards in a match coming into play. It's a new learning journey and I believe we can only get better. Go PIZZA 2!

Closing
New rulesets, stronger opponents are part and parcel of a game. We learn from it, get stronger ourselves and hope that we can do better. Hopefully in the next brawl, PIZZA 2 will secure a higher spot. Till next time, see ya!
