Self Introduction to Hive Community

Hello all,

I know this is long overdue ever since being prompted to do a self introduction when I did my first blog post on Splinterlands. So here I am, doing a self introduction. Prompt was from @indayclara @lovesniper and I apologize for the delay.

My Hive name Vaynard86, comes from 2 things. One, a favourite character from a RPG game, Brigandine, that I played when I was much younger and the second component denotes the year I was born. Have put a picture of the game CD cover below (yes it is CD, those days we have a pouch of such CDs)

How I got into Hive Community?
I am really amazed by Hive community. The amount of information I can find, the level of interaction and the various challenges that make this community so alive.

Through a youtube video from Luke Earns to Play, I chanced upon Splinterlands. After starting to play, my understanding of gaming has fully changed. What I've seen previously has always been Pay to Win, where people will pour in money to gain foothold in gaming. But Splinterlands gave the opportunity to play, earn, grow, taking care care of the full spectrum of gaming to enable continuity. This is the same for Rising Stars which does the same. And most importantly, there is so much information on Hive which I can learn from others. So from there, I have gained so much and I started blogging to give back to the community.

A Little More About Me
Engineer by profession, avid photographer. Singaporean
Look up my posts, have posted a number photos which I have taken.

Why did i choose the display pic of Ezreal from League of Legends? That is because I love travelling and being an explorer. Like what Ezreal says - True explorers follow the compass in their heart.

Prior to COVID-19 pandemic, I aim to travel at least once per year should my schedule permits and below shows my travel footprint.

As the world slowly moving into endemic for COVID-19, I guess it's time for me to explore the world once again.

I am from Singapore and this is an amazing place where we have a multi racial society, people from all races living together in harmony.

This diverse culture allow us to embrace the differences of each race and to learn more about the culture. Also we have a whole array of food from all different races and also fusion between them.
