Social Media Challenge - Completing The Season On New Rank Battle System

Prelude
Good day to all, how are all of you doing? We are just fresh off the first end of season for the new rank battle system about 3 hours ago. Whew, how things changed big time in this season for me. I am positive with how things went this season, though I did had some tough matches towards the end of season which I will share one of it later.

Season Recap
If I did not recall wrongly, I started from Silver 2 last season. It was not an easy journey, with multiple incidents of roller coaster rides of big increase followed by a big number of losses. But one thing I sure did was to massively level up all my soul bound cards and summoners, which did actually aided me with the battles and allowed me to climb to a league/rating way higher than I imagined. Other than these soul bound cards, my normal cards based on previous system would have been tough fights every fight especially with the crazy fully upgraded cards that many people own now. Level 4 Rare Summoners are no longer rare sightings but really commonly seen.

I've reached Gold 3 about 3 days ago after all the crazy ups and downs for a long part of the season in Silver League. But within the last 3 days till about 3 hours before the season ends, I have managed to hit Gold 1 rating where I've been playing with 3x ruleset per match for a number of matches in Gold League.

And then it was EOS on 15 gold chest which yielded this:

Really good EOS with some nice and juicy SPS which is really needed for me to boost up my rewards boost multiplier.

Now let's look at the rewards across the whole season:

3 Epic, 8 Rares and 34 Commons alongside 112 SPS. I personally think the rewards were really decent, though if there were a legendary that would have been even better. And when I examine the chest across the 15 days, I've managed to get 39 (excluding EOS) chest which averages out to approximately 2 chest per day. This signifies that my staked SPS is not optimal yet, so in order to get more rewards, I will have to work on the SPS.

Wrapping up on the journey of this season, I personally think that this is a good change and I am liking the feeling of climbing. Also this change also brought about the fact of levelling up our cards and to also build our SPS base as well. One more important thing is that you will be meeting people near your rating in matchup. Good job by the developers. In the below segment, I will share a match which I play during the Gold League which I think is a good match when during the last 3 days of the season.

Today's Battle Sharing
An interesting match that I experiment first time with Uludin Overseer and Coastal Sentry at 2nd position to capitalize the flank ability of Uludin Overseer. While I did had the Uludin Overseer for a while, I wasn't confident to field it back then.

Selection Analysis
As mentioned earlier, this will be the first time I actually using the Uludin Overseer and also the Coastal Sentry. Then to make sure there is back coverage, I fielded Deeplurker so that it can access opponent backline and clear off the weakest ones.

However, when I saw my opponent's lineup, I started to doubt myself. It included Antoid Platoon which will provide sufficient tank and coupled with Disintegrator which further drop my melee attack. Opponent also prepare 2 sneak monsters to wreck my backline. Definitely a well thought lineup.

Round by Round Synopsis

Round 1 - Coastal Sentry double strike successfully take out Antoid Platoon easily while opponent's sneakers took out Torrent Fiend and lowered Deeplurker's health significantly.

Round 2 - Coastal Sentry continue wrecking havoc by taking out Radiated Scorcher and lowering Disintegrator health. But Deeplurker fall to the double sneak attack. Things are becoming dangerously against me.

Turn 3 - Coastal Sentry clears up Disintegrator and Uraeus. Uludin Overseer after taking full 3 turns of punishment, finally fall. It is Sentry vs Striker.

Round 4-5, Due to the speediness of Coastal Sentry, in round 4 she took out Tenyii Striker with ease before finishing off Ash Mirage in round 5 again with the double blow. Victory secured!

Battle Summary
Honestly while it looked like I won with ease, it could actually swing against me because the double sneak by my opponent is quite formidable. Thankfully for Uludin Overseer which provided the flank and also the big tankish stats to hold off the frontline allowing Coastal Sentry to just clear everything in sight. A rather decent card to use, please consider using if you don't have the Possibilius summoner which allows reach. Also, the Aim True ruleset also ensured Coastal Sentry's attack hits on every strike, so with that, a nice match between me and my opponent and definitely great to play such a match in Gold League.

Wrap Up
I am glad to have completed the season on this new rank battle system which gave me a rather decent EOS and also when examining the full season, it was also great. This season I start at gold 3, I am not sure if I am able to hang on to it or will have to drop to Silver 1/2 to grind before I get a chance again to play in the Gold league.
