Social Media Challenge - Iziar Sharing

Prelude
Good day to all, how are all of you doing? How has the new rank battle system going for you? Mine went rather ok and I hope yours went ok as well. Today's sharing, I will be doing a card review similar to that I did for Kulu Mastermind. This is another crazy card that I like to use during higher mana matches.

Card of Focus
The card that I will be sharing today will be Iziar. This card cannot be found in packs and can only be obtained through reward chest and is currently Soul Bound. With this card being legendary, it is not easily gotten and hence to find ways to level it up will not be as easy as compared to cards that you can buy from marketplaces. Do also note that Soul Bound cards cannot be bought, sold, rented, delegated or burnt.

Let's get right into the card itself.

This is a 11 mana card with 2 magic damage, 3 speed and 12 health as a base card. Abilities wise it comes with Taunt and Void. To be, the combination of the 2 abilities is what defines Iziar. With Iziar, I essentially like playing a magic lineup instead of the usual range lineup.

While it is not easy to level up this card due to route of obtaining this card, upon level up, this card gains Martyr which is another crazy ability. Reason being that, with Taunt, it will pull in all the damage so that it will induce the effects upon death to the right adjacent cards to bring in the second wind to your lineup.

This card can be placed either at the front or back. When placed at front, do use a tank heal to keep her alive and triage likewise when placed at the back. No matter how, this card is really good to handle magic heavy decks. With a good understanding on the card, let's move on to the battle.

For today's battle, I will be sharing a match which I used Iziar. Hope you'll be able to pick up a tip or two from placement and selection of the other cards.

Selection Analysis
Another interesting and very different selection between me and my opponent, especially when there is another newly released ruleset to the game which is the FabFour ruleset which limits the total number of cards to be used.

For me, at 41 mana and only able to field in 4 cards, I call upon my big hitters in the life splinter which included using the Gladius summoner and allowing me to use Captain Katie, one of my most favourite gladiator card from Life Splinter. This card packs a punch with heavy magic damage and Blood Lust which expands her stats further. Drybone Barbarian takes the tank role with a crazy enrage ability making his attack when hit a painful experience. Time Meddler is placed in view of his dodge ability which improves survivability and of course the 2 magic attack is great too. Lastly will be Iziar whom will take all the magic damage and divert attention to her while the rest of the lineup smash onto opponent's lineup.

My opponent opted for a dragon lineup with 3 dragons and a rat. All three dragons are scary. Void Dragon is another good one with Void and Flying. Usut is strong too because of Blood Lust. And Chaos Dragon I feel might be a potential threat due to the Scattershot ability which avoids the Taunt from Iziar.

Round by Round Synopsis

Round 1 - Friendly round with just some clearing up of Divine Shield, with minor to no actual damage to health of the cards.

Round 2 - Drybone Barbarian got raged just was unable to hit Void Dragon due to its Flying giving it extra dodge capability. Captain Katie smashed Marksrat and triggered Martyr on opponent end. Things should be heating up now.

Turn 3 - An angry Drybone Barbarian finally smashes of the Void Dragon while the rest continue to do more damage onto opponent lineup.

Round 4-5, This 2 rounds were dedicated to Usut and Iziar was still holding up well, with Usut being taken out end of round 5.

Round 6, Drybone was killed by Chaos Dragon but Captain Katie secures the win by taking out Chaos Dragon. Victory achieved!

Battle Summary
A really nice match which could go either way. But I really like how Iziar and the rest of the lineup controlled the gameplay. Drybone Barbarian if able to land the hit earlier, we would be able to win faster but unfortunately it missed. The taunt from Iziar was awesome and able to hold of big magic damage from opponent, allowed Katie to get fat and land the final blow to secure victory. With Iziar, some of the cards might not be able handle this much of magic attack. All in all, both side put in real effort to do well for the match.

Wrap Up
This card is really good. I just love the combination of Taunt and Void which will attract all the big magic damage onto it so that the rest of the lineup goes unscathed. Paired with Triage card, it can even bring longer sustainability for Iziar for further match control. If you've already got a copy of it, please use it whenever you can.
