Social Media Challenge: Splinterlands Weekly (Aug 4 - Aug 10) + PIZZA 2 Brawl Report

Greetings everyone, how is everybody doing this week? I've mentioned last week that it is getting harder to win in silver, so I attempted something else which I will share more in the later part of the post. Today's post will also include account growth and brawl report for PIZZA 2.

With Card Power (CP) requirements abolished, I will just share the cards that I get throughout the week from chest.

Summary
From the number of cards gotten, indeed I did not have many chest for the week. Yes it is tough, but did I give up? No.

Instead of continuously demoralising myself, I instead went to climb the other ladder, which is the Wild ladder. To even things out, when the daily focus is something that I am well equipped, I maximize it via playing more on Modern ladder. When focus is on things that I am weaker on, I went to Wild ladder to further learn and improve myself to handle low mana matches and to improve my weak focus. Mulling over walls of losing streak will not do me good, so changing to the other ladder and improving myself will help me learn on my weak focus better, which turned a demoralising day to a win-win day.

I think with my newly deployed mode of daily duelling, I would think that things will improve and also I will be slowly improving my cards so that I can do better in silver league in the near future.

Time for some brawl action! Let's take a look look at the matches I played this brawl. As usual, I am anchoring Fray 3 for my guild which is the Novice Chaos Legion Fray, so cards will be at lowest form without additional levelled up stats/abilities.

Selection:	Melee is one of Fire's greatest strength especially with Tarsa
Outcome:	Win! I added shield and also demoralise which further put my lineup on a bigger advantage for melee match

	Remarks
Selection:	Yes, can select Earth means I can use Quora. Back to basics, so I added an extra fiend for extra padding since no blood lust
Outcome:	Win! A good win, simple and nice where Quora just dominates

	Remarks
Selection:	I have chosen Earth because of Queen Mycelia which Water did not have such an option. Other supporting factors include high speed opportunity Gladius in Bertrol Gobson as well as Madcap Magus and Uraeus for damage
Outcome:	Win! End up, it was Queen Mycelia wrecking all the damage with Madcap Magus to help secured the win

	Remarks
Selection:	Small mana match, I typically call upon Captain Katie because her high magic snipe helps take out small fodders and growing big herself
Outcome:	Win! Simple win, it is Katie's show where she did all of it herself

	Remarks
Selection:	Noxious fumes, activate Forgotten One and also martyr for self detonate
Outcome:	Win! Deploying this best known method truly helps me bring victory for such ruleset

	Remarks
Selection:	Earth Splinter, so Quora will appear. I opted for additional armour in the form of Queen Mycelia for additional sustaining
Outcome:	Lose. While Quora's self heal is great, an additional heal is equally important and in this match, I say my opponent's Quora out heal mine and taking the victory away from me

	Remarks
Selection:	When you have an arsenal of very good range attackers coupling with an amazing tank, put them and see how they terrorize the opponent. This was what I did and put in my best range from Death Splinter which are fast and able to strike hard
Outcome:	Win! The fast speeds with snipe and opportunity takes out all the critical cards from opponent backline and secured the victory early

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 8 matches this brawl and I've won 7 (including 1 fled) and lost 1. A valuable lesson in the loss whereby an additional heal went a long way to allow my opponent to win vs my strategy of more armour.

I think we are a little short of players to fill the fray especially that my buddy @relf87 is away on vacation. Hope he's having a good time of relax and recharge. Looking forward to his return and fellow guild members, let's continue to fight hard and get better! Go PIZZA 2!

Thoughts about Splinterlands Journey
I now realise how I can manoeuvre between ladders in order to break my losing streak and to also improve on my weaker splinters. When you hit a brick wall, take a step and move sideways, see if you will be able to move forward again. One more thing to note will be to keep one of it in a lower tier without advancing so that you won't run into 2 brick walls at the same time.

Call to Action
Splinterlands is a game that made me change my whole perspective of mobile gaming. The community and non-fixed gameplay is what attracts me and I believe will be something you wish to experience.
