I decided to buy 100 Chaos Legion Pack

This bear market opened up several opportunities to buy more assets and raise capital. I was thinking for some time where I would invest my money that was "stopped", I looked at the value of Bitcoin reaching 30,000 dollars, the value of LEO reaching 10 cents and the price of CUB and POLY reaching levels that allowed me to accumulate multiple units.

So why did I decide to focus on spending $400 + 10 vouchers to buy 100 packs of the Chaos Legion edition?

I believe I can list some points such as:

  • I want to try airdrop. I know the chance is remote buying only 100 packs, along with the 24 I've already bought before, but it's still some chance, and it would be something that I would be wondering later because at least I didn't try.

  • The 10 extra packages. I want to have some cards from the Chaos collection and I would like to try my luck to get some legendary or gold when opening packs. I have several potions and I would like to use them in these extra packs and with that increase, even if minimally, the chance at the time of opening the packs.

  • Long term view. In 2018 when I started playing Splinterlands I was reticent about buying cards from the Beta collection, as well as Orbs and Dice, which are now valued. I also expect this appreciation in the long term (up to 4 years) with the Chaos packs.

Maybe I'm wrong and they don't appreciate, just like any asset can not appreciate, so I'll do plan B which will also be satisfying for me which will be to open the packages and play.

I'm a fan of the game, I like to play, I like to do the missions, I like to collect the cards. So even the scenario where I don't make a profit, I'll have fun.

Interesting, so you bought to #hodl. Think that's a better return than opening and participating in the rental market?

i'm not sure, because I can be unlucky and end up getting no legendary or gold cards

From what I know, the fiat value of packs generally holds quite well and the price should go up once the packs sell out. So I don't think that is a bad decision at all.
