SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! LIFE SAPPER [EN / PT-BR]
The card of the week is the Life Sapper, a card that I don't use much because I'm not a fan of the Death deck, but it has great importance. As we can see in the image above, it is a card with only 3 Mana, which makes it easily fit as a complement to a more robust tactic with larger Mana cards such as 7+, and also be a fundamental part in small Mana battles when we can only use cards with 4 or less Mana.
The low life can end up pushing away inattentive beginner players who don't know how to position it, after all his Life Leech ability can considerably increase the life, since every round it will increase by 1, and in two rounds it can easily reach level 7 card status, even though they are in minor leagues.
At level 4 when gaining +1 magic power, his health drops from 3 to 2 again, making the player choose which strategy he wants, if more health keeping the card level 3 or more damage taking it to level 4, however in the current scenario fighting a deck of Death and facing Thadius Brood is routine and with that it would have 1 magic damage and 1 health reduced, so it is better to keep the card at level 3 or go directly to 5 and not take so many penalties, since at level 3 he would have 1 damage and 2 health, and at level 4 he would have 1 damage and 1 health.
Now let's go to battle
PRÉ-MATCH
The battle started against the Summoner that I have the most difficulties to win Obsidian, which provides +1 magic attack for Earth cards. I couldn't choose any summoner other than Daria Dragonscale from the available options because she is level 2, which allows me to have a slight advantage against level 1 summoners.
ROUND 1
With 3 enemy cards having an additional magic damage buff, me with no Reflect and no healing, already made me realize it would be a tough battle to tackle, but I was confident.
ROUND 2
Cursed Windeku who was in position 1, was heavily punished with magic attacks, unlike the enemy Unicorn Mustang who had his health partially restored by Wood Nymph. In that moment I knew the game was lost. My magic attack cards wouldn't do much damage due to the Unicorn's Void ability, and my Cursed was already at 1 health.
ROUND 3
With the death of my first 3 cards, and no opponents, there wasn't much I could do but accept defeat. Maybe I thought of a wrong strategy.
BATTLE RESULTS
HOW COULD I WIN?
Whenever I play a deck I'm not used to and end up suffering a defeat, I go to SplinterTools and see how I could have better scaled my team into battle and scored a win. This helps me a lot to better understand which position to place each card.
