[Splinterlands] Evangelist - Art Contest

Taking as reference the photos that were presented, I made a semi-realistic adaptation of the "Evangelist", keeping certain animated and fantasy details that characterizes the original character, for the development and ease of it, I divided it into several sections, such as body, hair, clothing and background, each painted separately to be able to apply more comfortably the different effects and textures.

Tomando como referencia las fotos que se presentó, realice una adaptación semirealista de la “Evangelist”, manteniendo ciertos detalles animados y fantasiosos que caracteriza al personaje original, para el desarrollo y facilidad del mismo, lo dividí en varias secciones, como fueron cuerpo, cabello, vestimenta y fondo, cada una pintadas por separado para poder aplicarle con mayor comodidad los diferentes efectos y texturas.

First start the drawing by making the sketch, use as a reference the image of the original character, trying to imitate its pose a little bit, but giving it a singing aspect, also design the background of the drawing. Then opaque the layers of the sketch and apply the base color to the Evangelist.

Primero inicie el dibujo realizando el boceto, use como referencia la imagen del personaje original, tratando de imitar un poco su pose, pero dándole un aspecto de canto al mismo, también diseñe el fondo del dibujo. Seguidamente opaque las capas del boceto y aplique el color base a la Evangelist.

I started to give some tonalities and volume to the character, using for this purpose the rough brush, with the intention of obtaining a certain texture in the painting. I detailed a little the factions of the face, and I was designing a little the background, to have a clearer idea of where the lights would come from.

Empecé a darle un poco de tonalidades y volumen al personaje, usando para este fin el pincel áspero, con la intención de obtener cierta textura en el pintado. Detalle un poco las facciones del rostro, y fui diseñando un poco el fondo, para tener una idea más clara de donde provendrían las luces.

Here I was detailing a little more the different parts of the drawing such as the hair and the background, this usually I always leave it for the last, but this time I wanted to go ahead together with the character, to achieve a better harmony in the whole work.

Acá fui detallando un poco más las diferentes partes del dibujo como el cabello y el fondo, este por lo general siempre lo dejo para lo último, pero esta vez quise ir adelantándolo en conjunto con el personaje, para ir logrando una mejor armonía en toda la obra.

Once we have obtained our base drawing with the different tonalities, textures, shadows and light areas, I proceed to give the last details, refine the features of the face, place some effects of lights and glows, using different layers in blend mode to add and overexposure to illuminate certain parts.

Una vez obtenido nuestro dibujo base con las diferentes tonalidades, texturas, sombras y zonas claras, procedo a dar los últimos detalles, refino las facciones del rostro, coloco algunos efectos de luces y brillos, usando diferentes capas en modo mezcla añadir y sobre exposición para iluminar ciertas partes.
