Splinterlands Updates: staked SPS requirement in effect, bots banned in Modern, effects on rental market, should we ban bots from Wild too and add own bot category?
In den letzten Wochen gab es zwei große Änderungen: Erstens wurde die Collection Power durch staked SPS ersetzt.
Jetzt braucht man in Bronze circa 500 SPS, in Silver 11.000 SPS, in Gold 60.000, in Diamond 180.000 und in Champion 420.000 SPS um einen 10x Multiplier zu bekommen. Staked man circa das Dreifache erhöht sich der Multiplier auf 12x. Maximum ist 13.3x.
Diese Umstellung hat SPS von circa 0.16 Cent auf derzeit 0.21 Cent gepusht.
Sollte der SPS-Preis irgendwann wieder signifikant steigen, könnte es für neue Player allerdings unmöglich werden, in das Spiel einzusteigen. Nicht vergessen, SPS können aber auch gemietet werden.
Langfristig müsste man die Requirement vielleicht besser ganz oder teilweise an den USD-Wert knüpfen, damit die Einstiegshürde nicht zu groß wird. Aber das Problem ergibt sich erst in einem Bullenmarkt, nicht wenn die Kurse immer weiter fallen.
Die zweite große Änderungen, die vor ein paar Tagen live ging, ist, dass Bots aus Modern verbannt wurden. Das hatte in den letzten Jahren für enorme Diskussionen gesorgt, aber letztendlich hat sich die Community mit einem Proposal dafür ausgesprochen.
Finde das eine sehr gute Änderung, Modern ist plötzlich wieder spielbar geworden, die Rewards haben sich gefühlt verdoppelt.
Gegen Bots hatte man zunehmend keine Chance mehr, da sie immer bessere Karten gemietet haben und nahezu perfekte Karten-Set ausspielen. Das ist unfair und reine Glückssache gegen Bots zu gewinnen.
Allerdings haben sich diese Änderungen weiter negativ auf den Rental-Markt und die Anzahl der Player ausgewirkt. Mein Rental-Account hatte noch vor ein paar Monaten Einnahmen von 1000 DEC jetzt sind es nicht einmal mehr 100 DEC ($0.08).
Derzeit laufen zwei Proposals um Bots und (Battle Helpers) auch in Tournaments und Brawls zu verbieten, für die ich gestimmt habe.
Würde sogar einen Schritt weiter gehen und Bots auch in Wild verbieten und dafür eine eigene Bot-Kategorie (Wild Bots, Bots gone Wild) einführen.
Zusätzlich sollte Splinterlands als Ausgleich für die verlorenen Player in allen Ligas einfache Bots betreiben (mit nicht ganz so stark aufgepowerten Karten), damit es immer genug Player gibt und man auch mit schwächeren Karten ab und zu gewinnen kann. Das würde das Spielerlebnis dramatisch verbessern und auch neuen Playern eine Chance geben zu gewinnen.
Was sagt ihr zur Staked-SPS-Umstellung und zu den Bots? Würdet ihr Bots auch in Wild verbieten?

There have been two big changes in the last few weeks: First, Collection Power has been replaced with staked SPS.
Now you need about 500 SPS in Bronze, 11.000 SPS in Silver, 60.000 in Gold, 180.000 in Diamond and 420.000 in Champion to get a 10x multiplier. Staked about three times, the multiplier increases to 12x. Maximum is 13.3x.
This change has pushed SPS from about 0.16 cents to curently 0.21 cents.
However, if the SPS price increases significantly again at some point, it might become impossible for new players to get into the game. However, don't forget that SPS can also be rented.
In the long run, it might be better to link the requirement completely or partially to the USD value, so that the entry hurdle is not too high. But the problem only arises in a bull market, not when prices keep falling.
The second big change that went live a few days ago is that bots were banned from Modern. This had caused tremendous discussion over the last few years, but ultimately the community voted in favor of it with a proposal.
I think this is a very good change, Modern has suddenly become playable again, the rewards have doubled.
Increasingly, you had no chance against bots, as they rented better and better cards and played almost perfect card sets. This is unfair and pure luck to win against bots.
However, these changes have had a further negative impact on the rental market and the number of players. My rental account had revenues of 1000 DEC a few months ago now it is not even 100 DEC ($0.08).
Currently there are two proposals to ban bots and (Battle Helpers) also in tournaments and brawls, which I voted for.
Would even go one step further and ban bots in Wild as well and introduce a separate bot category (Wild Bots, Bots gone ) for that.
In addition, Splinterlands should run simple bots in all leagues (with not so heavily powered up cards) to compensate for the lost players, so that there are always enough players and you can win with weaker cards from time to time. This would dramatically improve the game experience and also give new players a chance to win.

Finde deine Ideen gut. Separate Bit Liga und „schwache“ Bots um immer genug Gegner zu haben. Die Liga Anforderungen bezüglich Staked SPS finde ich etwas zu heftig. Bei mir bedeutet es, dass ich statt Gold jetzt nur noch Bronze spielen kann da ich nur 9k SPS gestaked habe. Fände geringere Hürden besser.
im not really a fan for the collection power to be replaced with staked sps since i dont have that much of sps. but the ban of bots is really great! they should just ban bots permanently
It would be right to remove the BOTs also from the WILD, but the minimum was really at least eliminate them in the Modern. This is my opinion. Bots transform the game into a passive income machine, which is fine for me, but then it shouldn't be called a game anymore
yeah the rental is very much affected by these changes. i didnt know that there are bots in brawl and tournament. it should be ban. it is not fair especially in tournament.

Grundsätzlich bin ich auch absolut dafür dass es rein menschliche ligen geben sollte, interessanterweise konnte ich persönlich nicht feststellen dass es in modern leichter geworden ist zu gewinnen, aber ich spiele auch nur in silber.

I always have doubts if the bots do more damage or more benefit to the game. There are games that I never play because there is simply no one to play with.
Sps is not really doing that great in the market system
Bin froh über die Änderung und es war meiner Meinung nach definitiv ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung.
Ich musste selbst die Erfahrung machen, dass ohne genug SPS eine höhere League bezüglich der Rewards wirklich keinen Sinn macht. Trotzdem bin ich noch vorsichtig optimistisch was die Änderung angeht.

! help(no space) to get help on Hive. InfoYes, I would ban bots in the WILD league as well. But in the end it will be what the players vote for.
And bans alone will not create an interesting and playable game.
I don't like the staked SPS change as much because I think the burden to get maximum rewards is too high.
As for the bots, I think it's a good move and I think it's fine to put them in wild. With the price of alpha/beta cards, it won't be as profitable for them. I don't think I would ban it in wild.
