Fakespot Presents NFT Guard To Protect Yourself + Ian Corzine Talks About NFT Legal Implications + @splinterlands NFT Prices on OpenSea

I don't believe in regulations as much as due diligence. Regulations are often a horrible anti-progress, anti-innovation, anti-choice mess where bureaucrats insert themselves into voluntary transactions between consenting individuals. There are crimes happening (I'm talking about the crimes with real victims; not non-crimes made up by governments).

This is not an isolated incident. Ethereum is Turing complete and there are many things you can do with smart contracts. Sometimes messy things happen purely by accident. Then there is the problem with malware (which is why I keep my browser clean as possible). Brave is the best browser to have the best experience out of the box with minimal need for any additional installations to deal with the cryptosphere.

Some Legal Implications

NFT Guard Can Help

It cannot solve all your problems. After all, this is not a centralized entity holding custody of your assets. NFT Guard is a tool to keep yourself better informed.

We are seeing a huge rise in fraud on NFT marketplaces (OpenSea) and mint sites. As crypto enthusiasts and believers in web3, we had to do something about it. No one is protecting consumers and it is our mission at Fakespot to do exactly just that, protect you and your frens from scams and fix the problems that centralized platforms have with fraud on their marketplaces.

NFT Guard Has The Right Approach

You download a simple extension to your browser and augments your browsing experience to avoid the scams much more easily. I have not seen any information on the project being open source. Please use at your own risk since your assets that could potentially be millions or even billions of dollars are at risk.

@splinterlands on OpenSea

This was one of the first expansions of @splinterlands in to other blockchains. Unlike the WAX blockchain, I have no care for OpenSea and Ethereum which is a horrible experience for users who are not rich. Not much seems to have happened when it comes to sales.

Wacky Prices With No Use Cases

This one is the most weird part. Due to low volumes and high transaction prices, not many trades are happening for @splinterlands on OpenSea. I will show one example price below. You can freely check out the wacky price discrepancies on your own if you are interested.

Baby Unicorn.png

In contrast to this, I can use the Baby Unicorn to battle for me (where I earn rewards) or simply rent the NFT and earn passive income. HIVE is a still a hidden gem. Make sure to keep that in mind.

Don't Forget @nftshowroom

The project is actively blogging and featuring many artists. I will share some of the images below. These are honestly good work. I don't see the same level of utility as game NFT. But the experience is going to be much better than using Ethereum DAPPs.

HIVE Has Even More NFT Projects

Check the link above to discover even more projects. I believe @exodegame should be listed among these as well. I didn't get to check out the game much despite being an early investor. Cryptosphere is moving fast and many things are happening in life. I get busy and loose track of things.

HIVE NFT.png

What we need on HIVE right now is an aggressive marketing campaign and more incentives for developers. As projects like @splinterlands has proven us, users will flock when there are great DAPPs and easy onboarding. We already have most of the technology taken care of. It is time we put the focus on getting in front of the general users.

Happy Hiving!
