My VOUCHER Sale Facilitated 220 Riftwatchers Gem Openings

avatar

I mentioned that there is a real and immediate use case for DEC in the form of Potions purchases. My previous article detailed the case for selling VOUCHERs for DEC. The orders were filled quite fast. I even added this tip for q quick sale: Set your order close but not exactly at the current price. You will become a market maker. Even more importantly you will manage to have your order filled without taking too much time. This tip is most effective when there is a significant spread between buy orders and sell orders.

Transferred Assets Post Order Completion

Another Perk of Roaring Twenties (Guild)

As a member of one of the top Guilds in @splinterlands lead by @mattclarke I have the privilege of earning 20% more Focus Points and get a 10% discount on shop. I had to buy 500 (+50 Bonus) Potions from each type twice in order to open 220 Riftwatchers Gems.

Opening in Batches

There is a limit to how many Packs that can be opened in the game at a time. Currently this is a maximum of 200 Packs. It makes the transactions easier to handle and it is quite sufficient for most use cases.

The beauty of receiving Potions from Daily Rewards is that it makes it easy to open a few Packs (Riftwatchers Gem in this case) after opening Reward Chests. The results of all these openings can be seen here using @peakmonsters

Current Value of Received Cards

The value of these Riftwatchers Gems were $5 (in SPS) + 1 VOUCHER. HIVE-Engine users can find these for $4.30 in the market. These are not eligible for Airdrops. That is something to keep in mind.

I would have bought more if I had the liquidity to make the purchase. If you managed to buy as many as you liked, congratulation! If not; know that you are not alone. There are some investors who didn't even manage to get in the Presale. I wish for the conditions to have improved in future Presale events. Until then;

Happy Gaming! Happy Investing!

Thanks for the tag. I'm one of those who missed out. RW presale was in the middle of the night; and when I woke up they were all gone. Tranche 1 was about to sell out, so I FOMO'd into two more (of the last 20) and used up all my dry powder.
Still managed to get onto TD; and grab a Runi whitelist spot, but for RW, I'm just going to buy individual cards off the market.

Tranche 1 selling out was bit of a surprise to me. Many like you should have moved to Node Licenses after missing out. There were some rapid selling of Chaos Legion Packs (probably after Tranche 1). I decided to wait out Runi. I had run out of dry powder myself. 3 sales in quick succession is hard for anyone who isn't a whale. At least these sales should have helped to keep DEC and SPS afloat.

Wish you the absolute best in that Runi sale! May you get a rare design you can fall in love with!

It looks like most of them didn't really make back the price but you do get some airdrops if you were part of the pre-sale. I guess another bonus is that you can use these cards for your fights and have an advantage over everyone else.

This was exactly my reasoning when I made these choices. There are some incredible moves you can make in Battles thanks to these Riftwatchers Cards. Future airdrops will help with the losses incurred. On top of all that, I get to support a project I love.
