Hello Splinterfans..

I hope that you are all doing great, fighting and wininng lots of glorious battles on the battlefield of Splinterlands...

Five months ago, I did a post about a battle that was lost...a battle where I faced a top-100 player, @goldmatters... a battle where I got pretty beaten up...Today, I faced @goldmatters again....

Here is the starting line-up...

The enemy presented a very scary line-up, and to be honest, I thought that the game was over, before it even had started...
Not long ago, I bought a level 3 Grandmaster Rathe (and a level 3 Conqueror Jacek) to be able to compete at least in the gold league with my collection of most older cards, especially betas....Today I was very happy about that..!!..

The battle is on...

It wasn't really a great start...lost my Imperial Knight in the first round, and soon thereafter my Corsair Bosun....Took a couple of the enemies with them...But my Silvershield Assasin did the job...

Looks like we are winning this one..

At the end, the enemy was down to one card...a range card...nothing more he could do....5 months after my first defeat, I got my revenge....

A big win is secured..

@goldmatters has the wildest collection, with some of the rarest and most expensive cards...I would love to own, just a few of them, a bit jealous..😀
With a collection power of more than 13M, @goldmatters is currently ranked as number 46 in the game! My rank at the time of writing this post is 2835, just in case that you want to know why this is such a big deal for me....

Days like these makes me even more happy about playing Splinterlands...and even though I won this time, I have the greatest humble respect for players like @goldmatters.. I hope that we will meet again soon😀
