I hope that you are all doing great, fighting and winning one glorious battle after another...

I am getting real close to a major milestone for me personally, getting close to 20k ranked battles in Splinterlands...The vast majority of the battles have been fought in the Wild format, and most of them have been fought by me personally..
Wild format is the only option for me, because most of my "high level" cards are older cards...especially Betas....

I joined the game in June 2018, so it took me more than 5 years to reach this milestone. It has taken up quite some of my spare time, but it has been well worth it...Honestly I'm enjoying the game today, just as much as when I bought my first packs...Alpha packs at that time...

Not long after the Alphas came the Betas, and I bought more Beta packs than Alpha packs....At some point, we had the opportunity to convert Alpha cards to Betas, and I converted almost all of my Alphas to Betas....When i look back, I probably shouldn't have done that, but I did it to make my deck more competative...

Seen from a competative point of view, converting my cards was a pretty good thing to do, It made it possible for me to reach the Champions II league, with a rating of 4245, only 55 points from reaching the top league, and it made me score some Champions points...1511 points to be exact...

Seen from an investment point of view, I probably should have held on the cards for some years, sold them and invested the money in newer edition cards...but I didn't do that...At this point I have a decent Gold deck, a deck that can also perform in the lower Diamond leagues...All in all, I'm not complaining...

When I look back more than 5 years, this game has been an awesome journey, gaming fun for many hours, and it has been quite an experience to see the game develop, and grow into what it is today...Just like many of you, I'm looking forward to the future, and to what this game will bring...I'm pretty sure that I'm still around when I try to look 5 years into the future! I have gotten my initial investment back a long time ago....somewhere between 5 and 10x, so I'm never ever gonna lose money on this....And when/if the time is right, I'm probably willing to invest some more...but let's see how that goes....

I hope to see you on the battlefield, and I hope that I'm able to send your team back home in coffins...:-) Otherwise, I'll just try again..!!..
