Bronze EOS with 119 Chests - how much I earned?

Last season I tried something new. I was renting for my alt account and I started from the bottom aka Bronze league. That is why I was earning EOS Bronze chests. They said Bronze chests are not good but I didn't know how bad they were.

If you are playing only in the Bronze/Silver league I don't know if it is possible to earn that many chests. Maybe it is, but I didn't try. I started in the Bronze league but in a few days, I climbed all the way up to Gold, and then I finished in the Diamond 3 at the end of the season. At those times I was getting around 20K RP per victory so the number of EOS chests was growing really fast.

Earnings from 119 Bronze Chests

As you can see I earned only 1.107 SPS from 119 EOS chests. SPS rewards are the biggest difference between leagues, especially when you enter leagues like Diamond/Champion. I remember opening a lot of chests with 0.00X SPS. In the Gold league that would be 0.X SPS. In the Diamond league that would be X SPS, and an occasional jackpot opening with a three-digit amount of SPS.

In the Bronze league you mostly rely on card pulls and you can see that those are not that great either. I got 22 cards of which 21 are common cards and only 1 rare card. In the Bronze chests, you are really on card pull and you are hoping for those Epic and Legendary cards. As you can see, I didn't have any luck with those.

0.211 USD for a season is just too low, but well if you are only 30 USD into the game this is what you will get. For comparison, these are my best daily rewards on the Purplebat account with Gold chests.

As you can see chest is a big part of the value in those rewards, but I earned 5 times more only with Battle SPS than I did with 119 EOS Bronze chests. That is crazy, right?

How did rent for Diamond went?

It was pretty good, to be honest. The biggest downside is those Bronze chests. Otherwise, the rewards were pretty solid. I even pulled out chests that were worth over 30 USD (GF Kelya). That means I will definitely continue to play like this. This season is the one that will show me if I should continue with the Rent to Play model.

If we count everything in I earned around 40 USD that season while I spent on renting around 10 USD. Pretty decent return right? The downside is that most of my returns came from a lucky CL pack but well, that counts as well. If I can earn more USD than I spend on rentals then this model will be a success.

Comparison with Diamond EOS

On my main account, I was earning Diamond chests and I managed to get 53 of those. This time pulls were not that good but still, I am satisfied with what I got. Overall, 16.840 USD where most of the money came from SPS drops - as it should.

If we compare this with 119 EOS Bronze chests - it means I got 320 times more SPS from half the number of chests. So yes, the higher the league, the better the results.

Summary

If you still needed it, this is proof of how rewards are way bigger in the higher leagues, so yes, aim for the Gold/Diamond leagues if you can. That is of course If you are playing for profit. If you are playing for fun, the Bronze league is amazing. There are really good Bronze-level teams and those cards are really cheap to rent. I like magic setups and sneak setups. So it is up to you where you want to play. I prefer higher leagues because of the profit but if one day I will have some spare cash I will definitely build a Bronze league deck. Who knows, maybe I could win a ladder there.

It is the perfect time to buy some cards and rebuild your deck. Packs are not selling as fast as expected so prices are stable. I expect them to go down even more once we sell more packs.
