Chaos Legion - Water Splinter Eye Candy & Speculation

avatar

Hi guys,

at the latest AMA (11/19) we saw some Water and Fire splinter Chaos Legion cards. We saw 2 Summoners, 2 Legendaries, 2 Epcis, and 2 Rare. In this article, I will go through Water splinter cards. I will cover other cards in the upcoming days.

I hope that you are excited same as me because some of these cards are looking AMAZING and I can't wait to see their stats.

So let's get started!

Kelya Frendul - Summoner

She is a leader of Wavebreakers - a mercenary Clan that was hired to help with the invasion. She is a Dwarf. That makes her interesting because you won't associate Dwarfs with Water magic.

She does look like a rare summoner with +1 melee attack or +1 armor. That would be very interesting as that would change the way Water Splinter is played.

I could also imagine her as a Dwarf Shaman or Dwarf Berserker. In those cases, I would give her Heal ability or Piercing ability. I am still cheering for +1 melee as that would have the most use for the Water Splinter.

Wave Brood

This guy seems like Water Elemental mixed with Chaos Magic. This monster is epic and if you look closely you can see a little boat behind his head. That tells us that he is HUGE and that he can deal big damage.

I see him as a ranged attacker, similar to Water Elemental but I would say that he will not be cheaper than 7 mana. I would give him a big attack, at least 3, and some nice abilities like Phase and Deathblow. Due to his size, I would give him a lot of health, at least 6 which is a lot for the ranged monster. I see this guy as a must for every collection. Can't wait for his story.

Diemonshark

Now, this guy is scary. A shark that can fly in the air and under the water. A really big monster. I don't know how this guy is an only rare monster but he seems absolutely huge and terrifying. I can't wait to see his stats.

I would say that we are looking at a proper tank, a replacement for Sea Monster, or maybe a second spot tank with Reach ability. I would definitely say that he will be expensive to play, at around 8 mana cost. I would give him 2 melee attacks, 4 armor, and 8 health. I would not give him any cool abilities. I would only scale his armor and health with levels. Due to his story Flying ability is a must. I think that we could see some new abilities surrounding this guy but we will see that soon.

River Hellondale

Another legendary card. An Elf that is not usual Earth Elf but Elf that is obsessed with Water Magic. He looks like he will be a magic attacker.

I see him as a mid mana cost monster - around 6 mana. I see him with 2 magic damage, 2 health, and 3 speed. I don't see that his magic damage will scale a lot but I could imagine him with Blast, Phase, and maybe Cleanse abilities. Something similar to the Ruler of the Seas monster. He could get also Immune ability that would be amazing. We will have to wait and see but I am really excited about this one.

Summary

I am super excited about the new Water Splinter additions. Are you? Which one is your favorite? What do you think we could expect from these monsters? Am I on the right track? Feel free to comment down below.
