DRAGONS - Share Your Battle

Dragons are my favorite battle challenge so I am trying to take every opportunity to create an article and share my favorite battles with the community. Why? Becuase I have the freedom to share my most interesting battle while using Dragon Splinter. And I like that freedom as it often results in very interesting articles.

So let's begin!

You can check this fun battle here. I will not go into the details of the battle as you can watch the whole battle in 2 minutes but I will rather explain my thought process behind my team and why I chose some of the cards.

The ruleset included "Explosive Weaponry" which is a very important aspect of this game. That is the reason I decided to go with Dragon splinter and to use Quix The Devious. I was going for his Speed debuff as my strategy was to attack first. Since the ruleset provided us with only 23 mana I could not go for obvious choices with speed buffs like Lira The Dark or Supply Runner.

That is why I decided to go for the fastest monsters that I had at my disposal and of course cheapest ones(mana-wise) so I could have a decent team. I will explain why I picked certain monsters.

Pelacor Deceiver - this card is simply amazing and it is not used that often and it is definitely undervalued. Simply because there are better cards in the Death Splinter like Cursed Windeku and Harklaw. I picked this card mainly because of the abilities that it has with Flying and Backfire and decent speed. If you saw the battle you will see that Backfire ability triggered once. It was not vital for the game but still, it is satisfying when that happens.

Shadow Snitch - is a card that I like more every day. Three attack is really decent for a 4-mana monster that can attack from the second position due to Reach ability. On top of that Affliction is an ability that I really like as it prevents opponents' tank from healing. With 6 health he can serve even as a decent offtank which is an additional bonus.

Void Dragon - probably my second favorite dragon card. It is just amazing for its mana cost and it feels really undervalued. For only 5 mana you get a really decent magic tank with Flying, Void, and Phase ability. When buffed with other cards its speed can easily go to 8 or 9 and then it's really hard to hit this guy. I love to play him in my Death-Dragon teams with the Lira The Dark and Supply Runner combo and of course with Quix. Most of the time your opponent will have a really hard time hitting Void Dragon. If you didn't already, you should try out this combo.

Uraeus - a great card for this ruleset as it has a decent speed and 1 armor that will block blast damage. I like it a lot because of its decent attack for a 3 mana cost card and for Poison ability that can be very useful against tanky targets. It gets even better on the max level with 3 attack. Every card that has an attack equal to or greater than its mana cost is an amazing card for me. It is the same case with Uraeus.

Naga Assassin - great card to play at the end of your team due to really high speed and Backfire ability. Sometimes it is really hard to hit this monster and Backfire can do some serious damage, especially if buffed by other cards. This card is even better on higher levels when it gets Swiftness ability which boosts its dodge ability even more.

Corpse Fiend - what to say about this card. It is really simple, you use this guy as a target to soak some attacks, in this case, Sneak attacks which turned out to be a good decision since the opponent had Undead Badger and Silent Sha-Vi.

Summary

I like to play Dragon splinter in combination with Death splinter due to good speed synergies, especially with Lira The Dark and Nightmare. With new reward cards, I might try the same strategy with Fire splinter and Countess Sinash. Dragon splinter is always fun to play as it enables you a lot of flexibility and experiments with other splinters and that can lead to some really interesting combinations.

It is the perfect time to buy some cards and rebuild your deck. Packs are not selling as fast as expected so prices are stable. I expect them to go down even more once we sell more packs. But there is always a possibility of new players joining and buying tons of cards, so be careful.
