New Raward Cards - FIRE

Welcome guys to the review of the new rewards cards. In this article, we are reviewing the Fire Splinter. New cards are very interesting and I hope that it will be the same with the Chaos Legion expansion. At the moment prices of the new cards are going up and down. We will see where those card prices will stop.

We currently have these cards only for a few weeks and new reward cards are not played that often. It is possible that meta will change. That would mean that this review could be a bit off in the future, so consider this while reading.

Lava Launcher - An amazing card for the Fire Splinter. The perfect card for Yodin teams. Great health, armor, and damage, everything that you would want from an epic monster.

Close Range - Can perform ranged attacks from the first position.

Close Range ability enables Lava Launcher to act as a tank and he can still benefit from Yodin's +1 ranged damage buff. This makes him the perfect replacement for any tank. Decent armor and health enable him to soak a lot of damage.

Stun - When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.

On higher levels, Lava Launcher will get Stun. The very useful ability has a 50% chance to stun an enemy monster. This means that you can stun the enemy tank while your team is dealing with the enemy backline.

Lava Launcher feels really good for that higher mana cap game where you can use Yodin and a few more good monsters. At this moment you can buy Lava Launcher for 1.65 USD per BCX. If you ask me that is a good price, though it may go a bit lower.

Venari Heatsmith - An interesting card that has no real use at this time. You could use this card as a cheap tank but there are many better choices for only one more mana. It seems that we need to wait for Chaos Legion expansion to see the real potential of this card.

Void Armor - Magic attacks hit this Monster's armor before its Health.

Void Armor is a good ability that will counter enemy magic attackers. This is something that the fire team didn't have so far. At least not a cheap option.

Amplify - Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1.

Amplify is an interesting ability but it seems that we need to wait until Fire Splinter gets a summoner with Magic Reflect, Return Fire, or Thorns ability. This way this ability is useful only on a max level when Venari Heatsmith gets Thorns.

Thorns - When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker.

On max level Thorns would do 3 damage to the enemy monster that attacks Venari Heatsmith. But that would be usable only in the high leagues. If Thorns ability is available sooner Venari Heatsmith would be a way more interesting card.

Venari Heathsmith is a card that I don't like, at least not at this moment. Chaos Legion expansion could change that. At this moment you could buy one for 0.08 USD so maybe it could be a good idea to buy a few for power.

Exploding Rats - This card looks like a replacement for Exploding Dwarf. Great speed, good attack, and poor health, a perfect card for Equiliazier games.

Blast - Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.

Blast is an amazing ability that will do some damage to adjected monsters. It is a good idea to use this card in the Super Sneak ruleset as well because it can devastate the enemy backline.

Redemption - When this Monster dies, it does 1 damage to all enemy monsters.

Redemption looks like an amazing ability that will deal damage to all enemy monsters. This is great when you already have a few monsters with the Blast ability as you can kill few monsters at once.

True Strike - This monster's attacks cannot miss.

True Strike is an interesting ability on monsters with low speed as it enables them to hit the target. I don't see how Exploding Rats is benefiting from this ability as it already has amazing speed. Maybe it could be used in the Reverse Speed ruleset.

Exploding Rats is currently priced at 0.32 USD per BCX. I hope that this card will go a bit more down in price. I will surely pick some cards for my Fire Splinter Blast team :)

I hope that you are enjoying new reward cards the same as I am. There are quite a few interesting cards that we could see more often in the future. For now, I am not buying anything as I am expecting prices to drop due to a surplus of freshly printed cards.
