New Reward Cards - Dragons
Welcome guys to the review of the new rewards cards. In this article, we are reviewing the Dragon Splinter. New cards are very interesting and I hope that it will be the same with the Chaos Legion expansion. At the moment prices of the new cards are going up and down. We will see where those card prices will stop.
We currently have these cards only for a few weeks and new reward cards are not played that often. It is possible that meta will change. That would mean that this review could be a bit off in the future, so consider this while reading.
Twilight Basilisk - An interesting card for the Dragon splinter. Twilight Basilisk is not overpowered like some Dragon splinter cards but it is a decent card. If talking about lower leagues you should level it up at least to level 2 for that one extra melee damage.
Reach - Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team.
Reach ability means that Twilight Basilisk can attack from the second position which is good as this card is not the best tank. One extra armor means that it will tank at least one extra hit so it is not completely defenseless.
Stun - When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.
Stun is a very interesting ability, especially when you see it in the Dragon splinter. This means that you can combine Twilight Basilisk with any other splinter where you can find a monster with Knock Out ability. I will make sure to level my card up to level 5 to unlock that potential. We will see a real strength of this card once Chaos Legion is out.
At the moment Twiligt Basilisk sells for 0.54 USD per BCX. I would like to see it a bit cheaper but I don't know if we are going to see that due to a number of new players.
Naga Assassin - I like this card a lot because of its high speed and interesting abilities. It seems that we will have more synergies in the new Chaos Legion expansion and Naga Assassin will surely benefit from those synergies.
Backfire - If an enemy misses this Monster with an attack, the attacker takes 2 damage.
Due to the high speed of naga Assassin, this ability could be often triggered. It is a slightly worse Thorns ability, as you need to build your team around it but with the right card combination, it could be devastating for your opponent. Of course, the only problem is magic attacks.
Swiftness - All friendly Monsters have increased Speed.
On max level, Naga Assasin will benefit from Switness ability. Your team speed will be increased by one which will further boost your Backfire ability. We will see how effective this will be with a new set of cards in the Chaos Legion expansion.
At this moment you can buy Naga Assasin for 0.70 USD per BCX. A bit high if you ask me, but the price should go up in the future when this card is out of print. If you plan to use it, level it up to level 4 because of Backfire ability.
Djinn Chwala - Best reward card in the Dragon splinter in my opinion. A perfect card for the tank, or the first spot in your team. Great health, armor, and decent attack. The only thing that this card is missing is Void or Shield ability.
Thorns - When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker.
In lower leagues Thorns ability is amazing, just look how Mylor Crowling is dominating the Bronze league. Djinn Chwala can deal 5 damage per turn in the Bronze league. That looks amazing to me. The only downside for me is 8 mana cost, but hey, big stats requires more mana.
Enrage - Has increased Melee attack and Speed when damaged.
A big health pool means that Enrage ability will work well. It feels good when you get hit with 1 or 2 magic damage and your armor remains intact but your speed and damage get multiplied by 1.5. At that moment Djinn Chwala becomes a real beast.
True Strike - This monster's attacks cannot miss.
True Strike is an interesting ability on monsters with low speed as it enables them to hit the target. True Strike ability could become useful if there will be a lot of high-speed monsters in the Chaos Legion expansion. Four speed seems like a decent number for now but we will see how that will feel in the future.
Djinn Chwala is currently priced at 3.40 USD per BCX. I hope that this card will go a bit more down in price. I will try to level it up to at least level 4 for that Enrage ability.
I hope that you are enjoying new reward cards the same as I am. There are quite a few interesting cards that we could see more often in the future. For now, I am not buying anything as I am expecting prices to drop due to a surplus of freshly printed cards.
