New Reward Cards - EARTH

Welcome guys to the review of the new rewards cards. In this article, we are reviewing the Earth Splinter. New cards are very interesting and I hope that it will be the same with the Chaos Legion expansion. At the moment prices of the new cards are falling as there are many available on the market and many are to be printed in upcoming weeks. This means that maybe now is not the best time to buy those cards.

We currently have these cards only for a few weeks and new reward cards are not played that often. It is possible that meta will change. That would mean that this review could be a bit off in the future, so consider this while reading.

Djinn Biljka - At this moment it feels like the worst of the three new legendary cards. One magic damage is just ok though damage scales well with levels. With new cards in Chaos Legion, this could change, especially if we get +1 magic summoner for Earth Splinter(I would be really surprised if that happens)

Camouflage - This Monster cannot be targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position.

An interesting ability that could be very useful if we can buff up Djinn Biljka. With +2 magic damage, this card would be a way bigger threat. This way it seems that Camouflage ability is not that good.

Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks.

Every attack with 3 or more power will one-shot Djinn Biljka so I don't see that Void ability will be that useful, especially on higher levels when enemy monsters do have high attacks.

Weaken - Reduces the Health of all enemy Monsters.

This is where this card gets interesting. If you play this card on the last spot in your team your opponent will have reduced health throughout the whole game which is very useful. Unfortunately, Djinn Biljka gets Weaken ability on the third level. It means that you don't have this benefit in the lower leagues.

Djinn Biljka feels good and I am really curious how this card will work with the new Chaos Legion cards. My target for this legendary card is 5 USD per BCX.


Venari Seedsmith - I played this card a few times until now and it feels good. Damage is quite high and speed is decent. The only downside is low health but he has Scavenger ability to deal with that.

Scavenger - Gains 1 max health each time any monster dies.

It feels great when Veneari Seedsmith gets additional health due to deaths in the battle. If you know that there will be some quick kills you can tank with Vebari a few Sneak or Opportunity attacks. It could be interesting so I will give it a try.

Poison - Attacks have a chance to apply poison, which does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied.

Poison is an amazing ability. It means that Venari Seedsmith will deal two additional damage to the enemy monster. There is a 50% chance that poison will be applied. Additional damage is great and it can help a lot when facing big tanks.

Venari Seedsmith feels like a really good card and I would play 0.31 USD per BCX on how much is priced now but since we are getting more and more new cards on the market, I will wait until the price drop even further. For now, my target is between 0.10 USD and 0.15 USD per BCX


Pelcor Mercenary - I will just say that it feels like a slightly better Flesh Golem. And it is, Flesh Golem that costs one more mana and it has some armor and Flying ability.

Flying - Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.

This means that a monster with Flying ability does have a 25% chance of evading attack against monsters that do not have the Flying ability. It seems that new rewards cards do have a Flying ability theme, so I believe we could expect the same from Chaos Legion expansion.

Heal - Restores a portion of the Monster's health each round.

Heal ability will restore 1/3 of the max health. When combined with armor and high health it means that Pelcor Mercenary could be a decent tank in higher leagues, especially with additional support healer like Khmer Princess.

Retaliate - When hit with a Melee attack, Monsters with Retaliate have a chance of attacking their attacker.

There is a 50% chance that Retaliate ability will activate. This ability gives Pelcor Mercenary additional damage which makes him quite a big threat with six damage under his belt.

Pelcor Mercenary is currently priced at 0.13 USD per BCX. It still feels a bit high for me. I will surely get some under 0.07 USD per BCX.


Summary

I hope that you are enjoying new reward cards the same as I am. There are quite a few interesting cards that we could see more often in the future. For now, I am not buying anything as I am expecting prices to drop due to a surplus of freshly printed cards.
