Rebellion cards that I am getting for my Fire Splinter

Hi fellow Battle Mages.

As you all know #rebellion expansion has officially been released and the general sale of booster packs has begun. The Untamed set is finally out of modern format and now we will be focusing on the new Rebellion set.

So far I bought only 14 booster packs but I am planning to buy more, either booster packs or single cards. There are some very interesting cards in the Rebellion set with some new and cool abilities that should be added to your deck as well.

There will be a total of 9.5M Rebellion packs available during the general sale. Prices of the cards are still high and I am waiting for those prices to go down a little bit. I know that prices won't be as low as those for Chaos Legion cards but still, you can feel that prices are quite high. Maybe that is because people invested in land and there are not enough funds to go into Rebellion booster packs. At this moment you can buy 1 pack of Rebellion for about 4000 DEC + 5 vouchers or you can buy it from Hive market where the current price is 3.75 USD per pack.

Personally, this set is very interesting to me from both a gameplay perspective and an art perspective. I will surely invest a lot more into this set when the right time comes.

In this post, I will cover Fire Splinter and what cards are worth buying to complete your Modern deck. Of course, that is only my opinion and it is not financial advice, so before investing make sure to do your own research. We will also focus heavily on one new ability and that is:

Ambush - This unit gets to act before the battle begins.

So let me share with you my list of the cards that will get into my Fire deck.

Gobalano Soldier - Fire Splinter has some great potential with Sneak plays and Gobalano Soldier fits into that strategy quite nicely. Three attack for three mana is a really good ratio and most of the time it means it is a good card. The second part is that Gobalano Solider has Ambush ability which means it has its own turn while attacking. In combination with the Shatter ability, you can count that it will at least break that armor and make the target in the back an easier target for other Sneak monsters.

Nimbledook Scout - I think that such cheap cards are a must-have for any deck. There are many battles under 20 mana where you need to squeeze in such a card. With the Inspire ability, all your Sneak and Ambush monsters could profit quite nicely. Scout is also an interesting target for Weapons Training ability since it has Blast ability. Played with Jacek it will go to whooping 8 speed without any other buffs which is quite nice.

Flame Mephit - another small monster that could be very useful. Flying ability is nothing new but it could make it a bit harder to hit this guy so you could put her in the Sniper or Sneak position. If you evade an attack Flame Mephit will deal 2 attacks to the enemy because of its Backfire ability. Well, this card is nothing new or amazing but it is a good addition to your team if you want to fill the gaps in low-mana matches.

Rush Townsend - I think this is a must-have card, the same as Gobalano Soldier. These two cards will be played in the Ambush strategy. Rush Townsend in that regard is amazing and it could kill some monsters even before the game is started. 6 speed ensures that he will attack at least twice, once in the Ambush phase and once in the first round. Piercing ability is what makes him very good since his attack won't be wasted on hitting the armor.

Now Fire Splinter is probably the best one if you are planning to rely on Ambush strategy but that means you will need two more cards for that strategy. The first one comes from Dragon Splinter and it is a summoner:

Akane - this is probably the best summoner in the Rebellion set, at least so far. The ability to give Ambush ability to two of your monsters is really strong and it means that you can play a team of 5 Ambush monsters. When playing such a team you should surely kill some monsters in the Ambush phase. Am I right?

Drybone Bowdog - the only neutral monster that has Ambush ability. To be honest this card is on this list just because of its Ambush ability. Scattershot is an ability that is not really fond to me and 3 attack is nothing special. But even so, Drybone Bowdog is pretty fast and it could do some damage. If you have just started to invest in Rebellion this is probably not a card that you want to buy among the first.

Moxian Rebel - This is an interesting card because of Weapons training. There are many cards that are similar to Nimbledook Scout, such as Daigendark Surveyor, Lurking Puffer, Chaos Animator, Ahna-Chei Botanist, and so on. All these cards can benefit from Weapon Training ability and Since Moxian Rebel is a Neutral monster it can be played with any splinter. That's why I feel that this card is one that you should get soon.

I hope that you are enjoying #splinterlands and #rebellion as I am and that you are looking forward to the upcoming(hopefully) bull market.

Keep grinding and see you on the battlefield!
