Hi everyone, Welcome to my BATTLE MAGE SECRETS post. BATTLE MAGE SECRETS itself is a replacement for SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE, where if SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE takes 1 monster as its weekly theme while BATTLE MAGE SECRETS takes 1 Ruleset as its theme. And the theme for this week is...

AIMLESS

"All Monsters get the Scattershot ability."

AIMLESS is one of the rulesets that gives additional abilities in the form of SCATTER SHOT to all monsters in the battle arena. However, the SCATTER SHOT ability can only be used by Ranged and Magic monsters, while Melee Monsters that receive this ability do not affect their previous attack direction (target).
In this Ruleset, some abilities such as SNIPE , SNEAK , and OPPORTUNITY will be replaced by SCATTER SHOT if owned by Ranged and Magic monsters.

There are also abilities whose workings have no effect if they are in this ruleset. These abilities are TAUNT (All attacks are directed at the owner of this ability) and CAMOUFLAGE (The owner of this ability is protected from various attacks except for the effects of BLAST or when in first position). In this Ruleset, monsters with the TAUNT ability will not often receive attacks from opponents and monsters with the CAMOUFLAGE ability will not necessarily survive attacks from opponents.

However, this only applies if the attacking monster is a Ranged or Magic monster. As for Melee monsters, the effects of the 2 abilities above still apply.

RULESET & FORMATION

In addition to AIMLESS, the Ruleset in this battle is...

TAKING SIDES

TAKING SIDES is a ruleset prohibiting the use of NEUTRAL CARDS (cards that can be used in various elements). In the past, to overcome this ruleset, we could only rely on 1 element or use Dragon Summoner to use 2 elements (Dragon + 1 element of our choice). But now with the Dual-Elements Summoner from the REBELLION edition, we can choose monsters from 2 different elements that match the Dual-Elements Summoner we choose.

WEAK MAGIC

WEAK MAGIC is a ruleset that gives debuffs to attacks from magic monsters. Magic monsters can reduce the target's HEALTH points, but in this ruleset, the attack from magic monsters is directed at the target's ARMOR (if they have it). The way this Ruleset works is the same as the VOID ARMOR ability, so it would be better not to use monsters with the same ability as this ruleset (unless the monster has other abilities that are quite useful).
But if you still want to use magic monsters, it is advisable to bring monsters with SHATTER ability and high SPEED to destroy the ARMOR of the target first.

My Line-Up

Cards	Ability	Reason
	- Give a reduction of 1 SPEED to All Enemies - Give a reduction of 1 Attack Power to All Enemies Ranged monsters	I chose Quix the Devious to use one of the monsters from Dragon SPLINTER as well as to reduce the SPEED of the opponent's monsters so that I could attack them first.
	FLANK + VOID ARMOR	As I said before, carrying a monster with the VOID ARMOR ability is not recommended in the WEAK MAGIC ruleset unless it has other uses. Therefore, I chose Silverblade Fighter to utilize the FLANK ability he has. FLANK ability can grant an additional REACH ability to 1 monster behind him if the Owner of this ability is placed in the first position. I utilize this ability to use on monsters that have high Attack Power (but low defense).
	BLOODLUST + TRUE STRIKE + PIERCING	Jared Scar is the monster I was referring to earlier. He has high Attack Power but low defense. If placed in the second position, at least he can avoid the opponent's TANK attack. With the combination of TRUE STRIKE and PIERCING he has and BLOODLUST which makes all his STATS go up every time he defeats a target, it will make Jared Scar, even more, POWERFUL while hiding from the opponent's TANK attack.
	SNEAK + MARTYR	I placed Vruz in the center position hoping that he would be defeated by the opponent's monster's Ranged or Magic attack that received an additional SCATTER SHOT ability. If successful, it would make Jared Scar and 1 other monster receive additional STATS from Vruz's defeat.
	FLYING + SCATTER SHOT + BLAST + BLIND	Another monster that will receive the benefits is Chaos Dragon. This monster from Dragon SPLINTER will be more terrifying because it already has the BLAST ability which can deal additional damage to monsters around the target. Especially combined with the SCATTER SHOT ability that attacks different targets in each round.
	FLYING + REPAIR + RESURRECT + IMMUNITY	Adelade Brightwing is used to be able to revive Vruz so that the monsters around him can receive additional STATS twice. Meanwhile, the REPAIR ability is useful for repairing some ARMOR that is lost due to an attack from the opponent.
	DODGE + INSPIRE	I chose Commander Goff because he has the INSPIRE ability which I will use to boost the attack of my 3 Melee monsters (especially Jared Scar who will be the centerpiece of the offense this time). Meanwhile, the DODGE ability is used to anticipate if the opponent uses SNEAK monsters that target monsters in the last position.

BATTLE START !!!

Both sides are using Quix the Devious as Summoner because they want to use Chaos Dragon (which can only be used when choosing Dragon Summoner).

The opponent only brought 1 Melee monster because they wanted to utilize SCATTER SHOT which can only be used by Ranged and Magic monsters. Meanwhile, I brought 3 Melee monsters, and one of them (Jared Scar) has a high Attack Power to defeat the opponent's monsters faster.

In the first round, Runemancer Florre attacked with her 2 types of Attack Power towards Chaos Dragon and Commander Goff*. Vruz attacked Runemancer Florre and my Chaos Dragon directed its attack at Djinn Biljka.

On the opponent's side, his Chaos Dragon directed its attack at my Chaos Dragon and Vruz lost instantly when hit by the BLAST effect of the attack. Vruz was revived by Adelade Brightwing but was again defeated by an attack from Djinn Biljka.

Jared Scar and Silverblade Fighter attacked Terraceous Grunt, then Terraceous Grunt counterattacked Silverblade Fighter.

In this round, attacks from Adelade Brightwing were directed at Goblin Psychic, Queen Mycelia at Chaos Dragon, and Goblin Psychic at Commander Goff.

In the second round, my Chaos Dragon defeated Djinn Biljka so the effect of WEAKEN (1 HEALTH POINT reduction) also disappeared. Jared Scar defeated Terraceous Grunt and Silverblade Fighter attacked the opponent's Chaos Dragon. The Chaos Dragon also received an attack from Commander Goff and Adelade Brightwing directed his attack at the Goblin Psychic.

The attack from Runemancer Florre is now directed at Jared Scar and Silverblade Fighter*, Queen Mycelia to Commander Goff, Chaos Dragon to Silverblade Fighter, and Goblin Psychic to Jared Scar.

In the third round, my Chaos Dragon directed its attacks at Runemancer Florre, but Runemancer Florre directed its attacks at Commander Goff and Jared Scar*.

Commander Goff defeated the opponent's Chaos Dragon after also taking a big hit from Jared Scar. The Goblin Psychic who took his place was also defeated by Silverblade Fighter.

Queen Mycelia attacks Silverblade Fighter while Adelade Brightwing directs her attacks at Runemancer Florre.

In the final round, Jared Scar defeated Queen Mycelia and Runemancer Florre was defeated by Chaos Dragon and Commander Goff.

Review of this battle

Luckily, this battle ended with an easy victory. With Vruz being defeated twice in one round, Chaos Dragon and Jared Scar have great Attack Power. If Adelade Brightwing had been defeated first, there was a possibility that I would have lost this battle. Because Adelade Brightwing's role is to repair the lost ARMOR, and if he is defeated first then Chaos Dragon and Jared Scar only receive 1 additional STATS.
