BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! || Lost Magic Ruleset
LOST MAGIC
"Magic monsters may not be used in battles"
Lost Magic is a ruleset that prohibits the use of magic monsters in the battle arena. The ban also applies to Dual Attack-type monsters that make Magic one of their attack types.

| CAN |
---|---|---|
Some of the possible ways to do while in this Ruleset include :
Excel in SPEED. Use monsters or summoners that provide SPEED reduction to your opponent's monsters (SLOW) or increase SPEED to the monsters you bring (SWIFT).
For more optimal results, use monsters with abilities that can increase the failure of your opponent's Melee/Ranged monster attacks. Like FLYING and DODGE.
Also use the BLIND ability, which is an ability to reduce the attack success of the opponent's monsters.
Use monsters that have SHIELD ability and enough ARMOR to fill the first position. SHIELD ability is able to reduce the impact of attacks from Melee and Ranged monsters.
- To support this, use monsters with REPAIR abilities to restore destroyed ARMOR and use TANK HEAL monsters to heal the Health of monsters serving as TANKs.
- Use monsters with POISON ability if you feel that the Health points of the opponent's monsters are too much (or the attack power of your monsters is too small)
RULESET & FORMATION
In addition to LOST MAGIC, the ruleset for this battle is...
BACK TO BASICS
BACK TO BASICS is a ruleset where all monsters cannot use their abilities, but they can still receive abilities from Summoners. The easiest way to win in this ruleset is of course by using Magic monsters, because they can attack Health points even though the opponent has a lot of ARMOR. But since CHAOS LEGION appeared, there are several Summoners that can hinder our victory when using magic monsters in this ruleset.
Immortalis will give additional VOID abilities to all monsters while Grandmaster Rathe will give an additional 1 ARMOR and the ARMOR will turn into VOID ARMOR (Magic attacks will hit the ARMOR first).
If you want to use Immortalis in this ruleset, it is recommended to choose monsters with high Health (monsters with ARMOR are optional if you are sure that your opponent will not only bring magic monsters).
Meanwhile, if you want to use Grandmaster Rathe in this ruleset, it is recommended to choose monsters with lots of ARMOR. Because in the presence of VOID ARMOR, Magic Attack will have the same fate as Melee and Ranged attacks.
My Line-Up
Cards | Ability | Reason |
---|---|---|
- Give a reduction of 1 SPEED to All Enemies and 1 Attack point to All Enemies Ranged monters | Due to the absence of Magic monsters and the removal of abilities from all monsters (as a result of the above 2 Rulesets), Melee monsters cannot attack other than when they are in the first position and the monsters that will be widely used are Ranged monsters. Therefore, I use Quix the Devious which reduces the attack of Ranged monsters and reduces the SPEED of all opposing monsters so that I can defeat the opponent first or reduce the accuracy of the opponent's monster attacks. | |
THORN | I was torn between using Djinn Chwala or Grum Flameblade*. The Grum Flameblade has a higher amount of Health and Attack power, but I decided against it because it has very little SPEED so there was a high chance that it would miss. | |
DOUBLE-STRIKE + SHATTER | The Drybone Raider is one of the Dual Attack-type monsters that can still be used in this ruleset. I chose and placed it behind Djinn Chwala because it can use its 2 Attack types (but not simultaneously). When Djinn Chwala is still in first place, it will use Ranged Attack. Meanwhile, when Djinn Chwala is defeated, it will use Melee Attack. | |
NONE | Scorch Fiend is used to simply be a 1-hit receiver (receive 1 attack that may come from an opposing monster that has high Attack power) | |
CLOSE RANGE + STUN | I chose Lava Launcher apart from its high Attack power also because it has a lot of ARMOR which will be useful when it becomes a TANK replacing the position of the monster in front of it that has been defeated by the opponent's monster. | |
SCATTERSHOT + PIERCING | I chose Gem Meteor because it has quite high STATISTICS as a Ranged monster even with low Mana (1 Mana lower than ***Supply Runner Lv8). | |
KNOCKOUT | By saving 1 Mana, I can choose Scavo Firebolt which has almost the same STATISTICS as Gem Meteor despite losing 1 POINT in terms of SPEED. |
BATTLE START !!!
As you can see, my opponent and I had the same thought of choosing Quix the Devious as Summoner (although a different monster selection). Both used Djinn Chwala as TANK, but the opponent had the upper hand in terms of level.
Although my Djinn Chwala lost in terms of level, I was still 1 Health point ahead (after the first round was over). That's because the Total Attack power of my Ranged monster is superior to that of my opponent's (after getting debuff from each Summoner).
The opponent's Djinn Chwala was defeated in the middle of Round 2 thanks to attacks from 3 Ranged monsters (Gem Meteor, Scavo Firebolt, and Lava Launcher). Idrii Fyre who took the place of Djinn Chwala only got an attack from my Djinn Chwala, while the attack from Drybone Raider failed to hit him.
When Djinn Chwala was defeated, Drybone Raider took first place and used his Melee Attack which amounted to 2 points (and successfully hit Idrii Fyre).

Review of this battle
For this battle, I couldn't guess it at all when I mixed up the formation. Because of those 2 Rulesets, anything can happen. One of them was the Ranged Attack from Drybone Raider that failed to hit Idrii Fyre. Luckily I didn't use Grum FlameBlade which has 1 SPEED. It is likely that the attack will fail to hit the opponent's Djinn Chwala.
