Hi everyone, Welcome to my BATTLE MAGE SECRETS post. BATTLE MAGE SECRETS itself is a replacement for SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE, where if SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE takes 1 monster as its weekly theme while BATTLE MAGE SECRETS takes 1 Ruleset as its theme. And the theme for this week is...

STAMPEDE

"The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed."

STAMPEDE Ruleset is one of the rulesets that is specialized in strengthening an ability. The ability strengthened by this ruleset is TRAMPLE.

TRAMPLE ability is an ability that can only be activated by Melee monsters (This ability is also only owned by Melee monsters). So even if a Ranged or Magic Monster gets this ability, they cannot activate the ability.

TRAMPLE ability is an ability that allows the user to immediately attack the next target after he has defeated the previous target (which is in the position before the next target). This ability will not activate if the target that has been defeated is in the last position.

The STAMPEDE Ruleset serves to activate the TRAMPLE ability repeatedly provided that the next target (second, third, or so on) can also be defeated at that time.

So the way to survive this ruleset is to use monsters with high HEALTH (sometimes monsters with TRAMPLE ability have Attack Power more than 3 points), use SHIELD ability, bring monsters with ARMOR, choose monsters or Summoners with the ability to add ARMOR (PROTECT ability), or...

Using an AVOIDANCE STRATEGY like I did in this battle...

RULESET & FORMATION

image.png

In this battle, I didn't utilize the STAMPEDE Ruleset but instead looked for ways to avoid the enemy activating TRAMPLE multiple times. And in this battle besides STAMPEDE, the ruleset for this battle are...

HOLY PROTECTION

HOLY PROTECTION is a Ruleset that grants an additional ability in the form of DIVINE SHIELD to all monsters in the battle arena. DIVINE SHIELD is an ability that "negates the first attack" that will be received by monsters that get or have this ability.

If you look at the description, HOLY PROTECTION (DIVINE SHIELD) can actually negate the advantages of STAMPEDE (TRAMPLE).

BROKEN ARROWS

BROKEN ARROWS is a ruleset that prohibits players from using Ranged monsters (or Dual-Attack-type monsters that have Ranged Attack as one of their Attack types).

My Line-Up

CardsAbilityReason
- Reduce 1 Attack point to All Enemies range monsters

- Reduce 1 SPEED to All Enemies
Although the 1 Attack point reduction for Ranged monsters is useless in the BROKEN ARROWS ruleset, Quix the Devious still has another de-buff which is a 1 SPEED reduction to all opponent monsters. I need this de-buff to widen the SPEED difference so that the probability of successful evasion from my monsters is higher.
SNEAK + MARTYRVruz has the MARTYR ability which is very necessary to increase the stats of the monster in the next position. I put this monster in the first position so that it will be defeated by the opponent's monster first.
FLYING + VOID + PHASEVoid Dragon is a monster that I want to add stats to. It has a pretty good SPEED base and has FLYING and PHASE abilities that allow it to evade attacks from opposing monsters that don't have FLYING abilities.
PROTECT + AMPLIFY + TRIAGEQueen Mycelia is in charge of giving additional ARMOR to all my monsters. I do this to overcome the effect of the TRAMPLE ability (so that it doesn't directly hit the HEALTH of my monsters).
RESURRECT + LIFE LEECH + SLOWAs long as there are no monsters with the OPPORTUNITY ability, Spirit Druid Grog will help widen the SPEED gap between my monsters and my opponent's. It also has the RESURRECT ability to revive monsters (most likely Vruz).
SCAVENGERKra'ar Xoc I only use it to fill the empty slots that are still available (and I only have 1 Mana left)
FLYING + SCATTER SHOT + BLAST + BLINDChaos Dragon will be very useful in this battle. In addition to having a BLIND ability that can reduce the attack accuracy of the opponent's monsters. SCATTER SHOT + BLAST ability will be very useful to "remove" DIVINE SHIELD from several monsters (which are targeted) at once.

BATTLE START !!!

The opponent utilized the TRAMPLE ability that Summoner Posibillus the Wise had so it could be activated multiple times. But the monsters with Attack Power that the opposing side brought were only 2 (Diemomshark and Coastal Sentry)

The only buff Posibillus the Wise gives is the addition of 2 HEALTH to all opponent monsters.

As for my side, the buff coming from Queen Mycelia is the addition of 2 ARMOR to all my monsters. As for Debuff, I give a reduction of 2 SPEED and a decrease in attack accuracy (BLIND ability) to all opposing monsters.

image.png

In the first round, one of the attacks from Coastal Sentry failed to hit Vruz. Diemonshark and Doctor Blight also attacked Vruz until he had 1 Health point left. Meanwhile, the opponent's SNEAK monsters (Pelacor Bandit and Uraeus) successfully attacked Chaos Dragon).

On my side, Void Dragon, Queen Mycelia, and Spirit Druid Grog managed to reduce the HEALTH of Diemonshark but were eventually healed by Albatross.

image.png

In the second round, Diemonshark defeated Vruz and wanted to try to attack Void Dragon (activating TRAMPLE), but unfortunately the attack was missed. Vruz was then resurrected by Spirit Druid Grog. Void Dragon received an additional 1 point in all his stats because the effect of Vruz's MARTYR activated when he was defeated.

Again, one of Coastal Sentry's attacks failed to hit Vruz and required Doctor Blight to defeat it (Void Dragon received another 1 point). One of the opponent's SNEAK monsters (Uraeus) failed to land its attack on Chaos Dragon.

The attacks from Void Dragon, Queen Mycelia, and Spirit Druid Grog hit Diemonshark again but were healed by Albatross.

Chaos Dragon's random attack target this round is Albatross and its BLAST effect hits Doctor Blight and Coastal Sentry.

image.png

In the third round, Chaos Dragon again targeted Albatross so that he had to lose and could not support Diemonshark with his healing. This was taken advantage of by the other magic monsters (Void Dragon, Queen Mycelia, and Spirit Druid Grog) who attacked Diemonshark again.

2 SNEAK monsters on the opponent's side managed to injure Chaos Dragon but were healed by Queen Mycelia. Meanwhile, the other opposing monsters (Diemonshark, Coastal Sentry, and Doctor Blight) tried to attack Void Dragon but their attacks were missed.

image.png

In the fourth round, the target of Chaos Dragon's attack this time was Coastal Sentry (so the BLAST effect hit Diemonshark and Doctor Blight). Diemonshark was finally defeated thanks to the attacks from Void Dragon and Queen Mycelia. Before being defeated, Diemonshark was about to attack Void Dragon but the attack was successfully avoided. Coastal Sentry and Doctor Blight were also still unable to land their attacks on Void Dragon.

In the fifth round, Coastal Sentry was defeated by Void Dragon. Doctor Blight who took his place was attacked by Queen Mycelia and Spirit Druid Grog.

Review of this battle

Luckily this time the opponent did not use any monster OPPORTUNITY. As you know, WATER SPLINTER has several OPPORTUNITY monsters such as Deeplurker and Kulu Mastermind. If the opponent had brought monster OPPORTUNITY (especially Deeplurker) then Spirit Druid Grog was in danger and he would probably be defeated first before he could revive Vruz.

A bit of uniqueness happened in this battle where Uraeus failed to give POISON to Chaos Dragon despite successfully attacking it several times, but he managed to give POISON to Void Dragon in his first attack even though the SPEED of Void Dragon was higher than Chaos Dragon.
