SHARE YOUR BATTLE ! WEEKLY CHALLENGE || "Anti Yodin Zaku and Ranged Monsters" Formation

Hi everyone, Welcome to my post regarding the "SHARE YOUR BATTLE" Challenge. For this week's challenge, I'll be sharing my battles against Yodin Zaku (Again). But this time I will also rely on some monsters from Riftwatcher to overcome the attacks from the monsters that got the power from Yodin Zaku.. And before going to the main discussion.........

The ruleset for this time is WEAK MAGIC and TAKING SIDES with 42 mana. COUNTERSPELL is a situation where Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health. Meanwhile, TAKING SIDES is a situation where Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles.

My Line-Up

	- Reduce 1 Attack Point to All Enemies Ranged monster - Reduce 1 Speed to All Enemies	I used Quix the Devious because, in one of the previous battles, the opponent used Yodin Zaku which was quite troublesome because of its BLAST ability. The WEAK MAGIC ruleset is (probably) also one of the opponent's reasons why the monster's magic attack cannot directly hit the monster's health points so he uses Yodin Zaku which can provide additional Attack points to Ranged monsters. I actually wanted to use Ilthain for this battle. But because the rental was canceled by the card owner, I didn't have time to use it and replaced it with Quix the Devious.
	Taunt (Lv1)	I use Shield Bearer because he has TAUNT which is useful so that the opponent's monster attacks (which have added the BLAST effect) only focus on him and 1 monster behind him.
	Reach + Reflection Shield (Lv1)	I chose Corsair Bosun because he has quite large Attack points and he has REACH which allows him to attack even if he is behind the first position. He also has REFLECTION SHIELD which makes him immune to the BLAST effect he will receive when Shield Bearer receives an attack from an opposing monster.
	Headwinds (Lv1)	Even though I got the ability "reduce the opponent's Ranged monster's Attack points" from Quix the Devious, I still use Runemancer Atuat because there is a possibility that the opponent's Ranged monster has quite a lot of basic attack points. Another reason is because Shield Bearer, who will receive all the opponent's attacks, doesn't have abilities that can reduce damage like SHIELD or VOID.
	Flying + Repair (Lv1) + Resurrect (Lv2)	I used Adelade Brightwing in this battle because she is a REPAIR monster from LIFE SPLINTER that has Attack points (since level 1). And with the RESURRECT she had at level 2, she was able to revive once again my monster with their full armor.
	Protect (Lv3)	With the WEAK MAGIC ruleset, the amount of ARMOR is very influential in this match. So I decided to use Defender of Truth which has the PROTECT ability at level 3 so that my monsters have enough ARMOR to defend against the opponent's monster attacks.

BATTLE START !!!

Turns out my guess was right, the opponent used Yodin Zaku and most of the monsters used were Ranged monsters (there was only 1 Melee monster).

After all abilities are applied.....

Yodin Zaku's ability grants an additional 1 Attack point to all of your opponent's Ranged monsters, grants an additional Health point and BLAST ability to all of your opponent's monsters. There are no additional abilities from your opponent's monsters.

Quix the Devious's ability grants a 1 Attack point reduction to all of my opponent's Ranged monsters and a 1 SPEED reduction to all of my opponent's monsters. additional monster-derived abilities include a 1 Attack point reduction to all of my opponent's Ranged monsters by Runemancer Atuat and an additional 2 ARMOR to all of my monsters by Defender of Truth.

In the first round, Defender of Truth and Corsair Bosun got the chance to attack first. They both attacked Living Lava (Defender of Truth destroyed the SHIELD of Living Lava while Corsair Bosun reduced its Health points).

Then it was the opponent's monsters' turn. Some of them (Lava Launcher, Imp Bowman, and Lava Spider*) got a chance to attack, and they aimed their attacks at the Shield Bearer and eroded some of his ARMOR. The BLAST effect hits the Corsair Bosun, but it is negated by the REFLECTION SHIELD.

The ARMOR of Shield Bearer is repaired by Adelade Brightwing, then Shield Bearer, Adelade Brightwing and Runemancer Atuat attack Living Lava until it has 1 point of health left.

The other opposing monsters (Living Lava, Fire Beetle, and Ettin Spearman) had their turn to attack and managed to consume the entire ARMOR of Shield Bearer. And once again the BLAST Effect has no effect on Corsair Bosun.

In the second round, Living lava was defeated by Defender of Truth and Lava Launcher who took his place was attacked by Corsair Bosun.

The first wave of the opponent's attacks (Lava Launcher, Imp Bowman, and Lava Spider) successfully reduced the Health points of Shield Bearer.

Adelade Brightwing again repaired 2 ARMOR from Shield Bearer. then Shield Bearer, Adelade Brightwing and Runemancer Atuat attacked Lava Launcher until it had 3 Health Points left.

The opponent's next wave of attacks (Fire Beetle and Ettin Spearman) successfully removed the repaired ARMOR and 1 Health point from Shield Bearer.

In the third round, Lava Launcher was defeated by Defender of Truth and Corsair Bosun and Imp Bowman who took his place was defeated by Adelade Brightwing and Runemancer Atuat.

Before his ARMOR was repaired by Adelade Brightwing, Shield Bearer received an attack from Lava Spider. And after his ARMOR was repaired, he received an attack from Ettin Spearman and lost his ARMOR again.

In the fourth round, Fire Beetle lost to Defender of Truth and Corsair Bosun while Lava Spider lost to attacks from Shield Bearer, Adelade Brightwing, and Runemancer Atuat.

STRATEGY (Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?)

I could say that the strategy this time is going well (or rather everything is according to plan). Opponents focusing their attacks using Ranged monsters, and that is a distinct advantage for me. If only the opponent brought several Melee / Magic monsters, perhaps the abilities of Quix the Devious and Runemancer Atuat would be wasted.

For the next strategy I will try to replace Quix the Devious with Ilthain (as explained before). Even though I have to lose the ability to reduce attack points, at least the attacks received by my monsters can be returned to the opposing monsters.

Do you like this Formation?

I quite like this formation because they are able to dampen attacks from Ranged monsters to the maximum level And this makes the enemy's Range of monsters only able to have a slight attack impact. However, because this formation only focuses on dealing with Ranged monsters, it is certain that this formation's weakness is when fighting Melee or magic Monsters.
