Hi everyone, Welcome to my post regarding the "SHARE YOUR BATTLE" Challenge. For this week's challenge, I'll be sharing my battles using Halfling Alchemist. Where this card is the only card that has the Halving Ability. And before going to the main discussion.........

The ruleset for this time is EVEN STEVENS with 26 mana. EVEN STEVENS is a situation where Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles.

My Line-Up

CardsAbilityReason
Give Additional 1 SPEED and 1 ARMOR to All AlliesIn this battle I chose the Water Spinter and used Kelya Frendul as a Summoner. The reason I choose it is because it provides additional ARMOR and SPEED, I will use ARMOR to prevent enemy Melee and Ranged Monsters who want to attack my monsters from directly hitting their Health points.

While SPEED is to get a turn to attack first and the opponent's attack chance will miss even bigger.
Void + Slow(Lv1)I chose to use Baakjira because it has VOID to reduce the impact of attacks from the opponent's Magic Monster and SLOW which is useful for slowing down the opponent's SPEED (so I can attack first). Baakjira is also equipped with high Health points so that it can last longer to receive attacks from opponents.
None (Lv1)Torrent Fiend I use as bait to lure OPPORTUNITY enemy monsters (if they carry it) to attack Torrent Fiend first before attacking other monsters that have the same Health points as Torrent Fiend.
Opportunity (Lv1)I brought Deeplurker into battle this time so he could focus his attacks on the enemy monster with the lowest Health point.
Life Leech(Lv1)With the LIFE LEECH owned by Merdhampir, it can be useful as a TANKER when several monsters in front of it have been defeated. Because he will get a lot of additional health points every time he successfully attacks the opponent's monster.
Halving (Lv1)Because of his ability, which can halve the Attack point of the opposing monster if it hits him, I decided to bring Halfling Alchemist to the Battle Arena.
None (Lv1)I chose Kulu Swimhunter and placed it in the last position because it is a Ranged monster that has Attack points above 1 even though it only has 4 Mana and is a Normal Card.

BATTLE START !!!

The opponent also uses Kelya Frendul as a Summoner. He brought 2 Magic Monsters, 1 OPPORTUNITY Monster, and 2 Ranged Monsters to the Battle Arena.

After all abilities are applied.....

image.png

Kelya Frendul's Ability gives an additional 1 ARMOR and 1 SPEED to all monsters (mine and opponent's).

The opposing party does not get any additional abilities from the monsters he brings. While on my side, I got an additional ability in the form of a 1 SPEED point reduction that affects all opposing monsters. This ability is given by Baakjira.

At the end of the first round, (on the opposing side) Djinn Oshannus managed to land his attack on Baakjira even though it was not full because of VOID. Then followed by Ice Pixie who tried to attack Baakjira but had no effect because of VOID, Kulu Swimhunter who destroyed the ARMOR of Baakjira and ended by an attack from Xenith Archer. Meanwhile Deeplurker focused his attacks on Torrent Fiend which managed to damage his ARMOR.

Meanwhile on my side, Deeplurker managed to damage the ARMOR of Ice Pixie. Kulu Swimhunter destroyed the ARMOR of Djinn Oshannus, but Merdhampir failed to land his attack on Djinn Oshannus. My last attack in this round came from Halfling Alchemist who managed to hit Djinn Oshannus and reduced his Attack point to 1 (half).

In the second round, (my side) Deeplurker beat Ice Pixie. Meanwhile, my 3 Ranged monsters (Kulu Swimhunter, Merdhampir, and Halfling Alchemist) focused their attacks on Djinn Oshannus.

While on the other side, the attack from Djinn Oshannus could no longer have an impact on Baakjira because of the VOID and also because his Attack point was reduced due to the HALVING given by Halfling Alchemist. Deeplurker beat Torrent Fiend. Then the opponent's 2 Ranged monsters (Kulu Swimhunter and Xenith Archer) focus their attacks on Baakjira.

image.png

In the third round, (on the opposing side) Djinn Oshannus's attack was still unable to impact Baakjira due to the HALVING he received.

while on my side, Kulu Swimhunter, Merdhampir, and Deeplurker managed to defeat Djinn Oshannus. Then Deeplurker who replaced Djinn Oshannus in the leading position got an attack from Halfling Alchemist which made his Attack point change to 1 point remaining.

(on the opposing side) Deeplurker who now only has 1 Attack point failed to land his attack on Baakjira. Meanwhile, the opponent's 2 Ranged Monsters (Kulu Swimhunter and Xenith Archer) managed to attack Baakjira.

image.png

In the fourth round, (on my side) Deeplurker destroys the ARMOR of Xenith Archer, while my 3 Ranged Monsters (Kulu Swimhunter, Merdhampir, and Halfling Alchemist) attack the opponent's Deeplurker.

On the other side, Deeplurker and Kulu Swimhunter beat Baakjira (as well as eliminating the SLOW effect given by Baakjira). And the remaining enemy monster (Xenith Archer) damaged the ARMOR of my Deeplurker.

In the fifth round, my Kulu Swimhunter managed to beat the opponent's Deeplurker. And my other 3 Monsters (Merdhampir, DeepLurker, and Halfling Alchemist) defeat the opponent's Kulu Swimhunter.

Xenith Archer was defeated in the sixth round.

STRATEGY (Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?)

The strategy I used worked very well, Djinn Oshannus in this battle was only given 1 turn to attack and after that, his attack was meaningless due to getting HALVING from Halfling Alchemist.

for the next strategy, I won't make any changes because the plan this time is perfect (especially since the opponent doesn't have a Healer monster that makes this battle go on for quite a while)

Do you like Halfling Alchemist?

I really like it even though it's the first time I decided to use this monster. And if combined with a TANKER that has SHIELD or VOID (or even has both), the opposing monster in first position will not be able to do anything after being hit by HALVING.

Unfortunately Halfling Alchemist is not equipped with enough Health points and that makes him the main target for OPPORTUNITY monsters (except in the EQUALIZER Ruleset). Therefore, when you want to bring Halfling Alchemist into battle, don't forget to bring a monster that has the same Health point or below and has quite a lot of ARMOR (such as Ever-Hungry Skull or Enchanted Defender) and place the monster in the position before Halfling Alchemist.
